Please can someone help me with PS3 downloads please?

Hi,
I am tearing my hair out over this - I hope someone can help.

I have a UK bought PS3 (bought from Currys). I have a UK bought Rock Band 1 PS3 disc (bought from Gamestation at the weekend). I have a UK PSN account, which I have used (successfully) before to buy additional tracks for Guitar Hero games.

Trouble is, I spent £20 odd on download tracks for Rock Band at the weekend, and they don't show in the game. I paid for them, downloaded them, and installed them, but they just don't show up anywhere.

I've searched these forums for people with similar problems, and the answers seem to be related to US discs or PSN accounts, neither of which I have.

If it makes a difference, under the game data menu on the PS3 I have two files for Rock Band, one for the game, one for the tracks.

How do I merge the two so I can play my songs??? :confused:

The tracks are stored separately from the game save file, so that's normal.

Is your game on the latest patch? If you're PS3 is online all the time it should be. The game checks for updates when it starts up, when online. If it's not on the latest patch, it needs to be for dlc to cooperate.

Have you tried redownloading a song to see if that helps?

Another thought, this may or may not do anything for you, try deactivating your console then activating it. It's easy to do and won't hurt anything.

Thanks for your reply.

When we put the game in for the first time it downloaded an update, and we checked the PS3 for updates too and that needed one so we downloaded that also, but still the songs do not appear.

We have tried re-downloading a song, and that didn't help. We have also tried deleting the file where the songs are stored and then re-downloading one or two but they still aren't there.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by de-activating the console?

I'm really getting stressed about this and don't know what to do! :(

Any help or ideas will be much appreciated, I don't know where else I can go for help.

Under Account Management you can deactivate then activate the console. You'll be using the same user id etc so it's pretty simple.

When you go into Quick Play sort the songs by Location, use the Select button on the controller. scroll down to the Downloaded section, hopefully they are there.
