Pretty fair assessement. I'm sure we'll see the patented "Halo = Overrated" comment a couple of times.

For my opinion, I question #7 and #9 on the list, and Mass Effect at #8 seems too low.

Maybe they are not in any particular order? Halo 3 should make the list but not number one if they are ranked. Unless they are basing it on hype, marketing and sales then it would be clear and away number one.

Phantom Hourglass is a fine game and I can not think of another game that could/should bump it off.

But Apples is right, I am suprised to see Mass Efect at almost the bottom of the list, I guess it didn't do all that well on the sales side.

No, you were right. CoD was better than Halo 3. The Halo 3 ending wasn't really an ending. It left the door wide open for Bungie to do whatever they want in terms of story line.

I agree mostly with it. Knock Call of Duty 4 off though. And Ace of Combat. And swap Orange Box and Halo around. There we are :D

Halo isn't the best game of the year, it was fun and deserves a top 10 nod. But it was a hype machine more than a groundbreaking game. Sorry Apples.

where's assassin's creed? and yeah halo 3 should not be ranked so high, says a lot of how much microsoft contributes to the magazine....
