How do I play on XBOX Live?

Please help! I am not new at all to the game, but new to online play...I just got a Gold Membership and cannot figure out where to wait for other players.
Can you choose "Quickplay?"
Where do I need to go to view or wait for other online players?

Well, you simply go:

Quickplay
Band Quickplay
Xbox Live Quickplay
Choose the character you want to be
Hit yellow/Y to search for other players

I tried that path and waited for awhile and was waiting for the thing to stop spinning....guess I didnt wait long enough.

Yeah, It'll take a while. Depends on what time you're on. You can also try playing the tour with other players (usually i play tour if the band quickplay doesn't have any players). You do that by selecting: Tour, Xbox Live Tour, then go up to substitute in band (you can also do challenges and Battle of the Bands). You can also get other players to play for your band by selecting: Tour, Xbox Live Tour, select your band, then join in and press y to find players to play for you.
