So I know we are all over the place all over the country and the world.  What are some of the awesome local bands in your town?  Hit us up with a link to their Myspace page or whatever they got.  Let's expand our horizons.  I'd give you a link to an awesome local Boston band but we've already put all of them into our games so you know where I am coming from.

Lemme know.

Is the lack of NY bands due to your hatred towards the Yanks (or '86 Mets)?<br>

<P>Self-described as "Sick industrial gothic metal" ... these guys live like 15 feet away from me, I've been a fan since before they shined up and got a CD put out. They're badass.</P>

<P>Nah.&nbsp; We just all live in the area and have friends in Boston bands or are in Boston bands.&nbsp;&nbsp; It is convenient.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </P>

<P>This is my band!&nbsp; French Canadian music... the song you can hear on the myspace page is called "J'en peux plus" (Can't take no more) and has been recorded live during a local Rock Contest.</P>
<P>&nbsp;</P>
<P>EDIT:&nbsp; Another hot local band: The Pascale Picard Band.&nbsp;&nbsp; </P>
<P><A href="http://www.pascalepicard.com/">http://www.pascalepicard.com/</A></P>
<P>They where regulary playing at the same bar than my band was a couple years ago.&nbsp; They've come out with&nbsp;there first album this week.&nbsp; They are not so Rock or Metal, but they're&nbsp;definitely hot!&nbsp;</P>

<p>http://www.myspace.com/circlesoversidelights</p><p>from&nbsp; their label, immigrant sun:</p><p>"<span class="copy">
Northeast Ohio natives Circles Over Sidelights formed from all
different directions, basing the band upon friendship, musical
interests and the strength of the varied personalities of the band
members. Their overall goal is to enjoy life and send a positive and
heartfelt message to all listeners, fans, and friends. Don't let that
fool you into thinking these kids are lightweights, though, because
nothing could be further from the truth. Circles Over Sidelights
deliver an amazingly well written and complex mixture of metal, thrash,
and hardcore in the vein of Darkest Hour, Converge, and Opeth.&nbsp;
"</span><br></p><p>some of my friends' band. I'm not really in that area but I really like their stuff and think they deserve more attention. however they just broke up lol. they are still going to be doing stuff but in separate groups. (one more metal one more space-y rock)</p><p>still if you like what you hear at all definitely check out "What is and What is To Become" as well as "On Becoming a person..."</p><p>http://www.amazon.com/Becoming-Person-Circles-Over-Sidelights/dp/B0001Z3TZM/ref=sr_1_1/002-5548876-0887219?ie=UTF8&amp;s=music&amp;qid=1175813815&amp;sr=8-1</p><p>http://www.amazon.com/What-Become-Circles-Over-Sidelights/dp/B0006A9GKO/ref=sr_1_2/002-5548876-0887219?ie=UTF8&amp;s=music&amp;qid=1175813815&amp;sr=8-2</p><p>the used and new prices cant be beat.&nbsp;</p><p>if you google them theres a good range of reviews that can be found at the prp or lambgoat and many other places. usually get around a 4/5ish, on becoming is more of a hardcore album while what is is more post rock and hardcore, both awesome&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>let&nbsp; me know what you think&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

I'm in a(Poppy) Punk Rock band called Marine View Drive- I play the bass and sing[www.myspace.com/marineviewdrive]. We have a bare bones recording up right now but we are preparing to record with Mark Haake who is the front man of Jaded 52 [www.myspace.com/jaded52] and also one of the original members of Face To Face (he wrote Velocity-and they have his guitar tracks on one of the cd's because when he was replaced the newer guy really did suck). there's a little punk history. check it out.

One of the biggest things to come out of Michigan lately are Still Remains

I'm sure some of you have heard of them but they're still pretty unkown. They're gonna get a lot of exposure on Warped this summer.
