Alt./Indie rock Tournament: Day 4

Last round, SY and Muse (due to suspected cheating) made it to the next round. Here is what is going on today:

5 Foo Fighters vs. 28 Modest Mouse
and
6 Interpol vs. 27 Oasis

First one was VERY hard... Foo Fighters win for me. Second was easy: I enjoy Interpol way more than Oasis.

Modest Mouse and Interpol. I could never really get into Foo Fighters, I like a few of their singles, but a lot of their songs just sound boring and watered down for easy radio consumption. Interpol vs. Oasis was much easier, Oasis is a mostly lame Britpop band and Interpol do not suck so they win easily.

modest mouse beat out foo fighters for having a more consistent career, though both bands are pretty awful nowadays.

i enjoy one oasis song, and about half of the first interpol album so i'll give interpol the win.

On the first one, Modest Mouse wins easily. I can't say I'm a fan of any Oasis albums, though they have some OK songs, but Turn on the Bright Lights is fantastic, so Interpol it is for me even if I don't like their later albums.

The first one was incredibly hard. I don't enjoy either too much. MM has fewer songs I do like, so I went with FF.

The second one was easy. I've grown tired of Oasis and their boring music. Interpol wins.

Wow the first one was tough, but I had to pick the Foo Fighters because Dave is my favorite drummer of all time.

Also I took Oasis over Interpool.

yeah, when i clicked on Modest Mouse i expected to see them winning, when you see the results, and i was like WTF!?!?!

"alternative rock" isn't the first thing to come to mind when foo fighters are being discussed, but i can see how they hug the line.

...and i like the first two albums quite a bit.
