More Modern Songs please!!!! And put in Placebo.

You know, the first 16 Songs are revealed and there is a ton of 70s songs, but only three 2000s songs so far.

Of course, there will be more, but look at the Guitar Hero 2 Songlist. I've known only about 4 (!!) songs of the 70 tracks (!!) long list, and I consider myself a music knowledge pro. Well okay, not a pro, but I'm very interested in music, especially indie and alternative. There are such great bands out there, and in Guitar Hero 2 I was almost only playing old school rock and metal.
You know what songs I play the most in GH2? Killer Queen by Queen and Higher Ground by Red Hot Chilli Peppers, both downloaded and actually from GH1.
Okay, Queen isn't really modern either, but I don't call it old school rock, and it's definitely not Metal.

But to get this right, I have no problem with metal and old school rock in Rock Band. But bring some more variety in it. I'm actually quite happy with the song list so far. The Strokes and The Hives are cool (But why choose Main Offender when there is such an awesome song like "Walk Idiot Walk"!??).

So, a few songs I would like to see in Rock Band are:

Placebo - This Picture

This song is good for all instruments but actually, I'm happy with every Placebo song, just bring them.

Angels & Airwaves - It hurts

Songs by Angels and Airwaves are just different then most of the songs I have played in Guitar Hero, and it's also one of my favourite bands today. I'm sure this song will be fun to play! I would also like every other song of AvA, maybe The Adventure, which is probably the most famous song by them.

The Hives - Walk Idiot Walk

I know, there is already a Hives song in Rock Band, but if you ask me Main Offender is one of their worst songs (the singing sucks), but Walk Idiot Walk is just awesome! You have to nod with your feet while listeing to it, you just have to!

Blur - Song 2

Man, this is probably the most well known rock song of the 90s. Where is it?

Oasis - Gas Panic!
I almost forgot them. One of the most popular bands in the 90s and still!! I love them and I would love every song but I think Gas Panic! is best suited for Rock Band.

Flyleaf - I'm so sick

There is a little metal! But this one has a great melody too. ;) It's even nice to sing! *gg*

Radiohead - Paranoid Android

I know, a lot of us Rockband fans want this song, right! I want it. :D

Mew - Am I wry? No.

Mew is an awesome danish band, and this song rocks.

Alien Ant Farm - Smooth Criminal

Come on, this song is soooo much fun!!!! The solo is awesome.

Papa Roach - Last Resort

Classic. And it still just rocks. You have to jump while listening to it.

Bush - All the people that we love

This is one great rock song too. Would be nice.

The White Stripes - Icky Thump

I know, it's hard to include this band, since there are only 2 instruments in most of their songs. But this song is great! The second guitar could play the keyboard part. I think this song rocks.

Bloc Party
How could I forget Bloc Party!? I love every song of them, I've been to one of their concerts, so yeah, put them in! They have awesome songs!! I can't even say which song Harmonix should use, because every song of them would be nice.

Dinosaur Jr. - We're not alone

This song is great!! It's catchy, it's nice to sing and still has an awesome solo at the end!!

And, well, you can even put Linkin Park and Coldplay (one of their guitar songs of course) in it, to have something popular and even more variety.

Well, I could suggest even more modern songs, just a few of those songs in Rockband would make me so happy.

Guys, I was never more excited about any game ever!! It's just awesome!

Oh, and what do you think of this list?
Of course, that's just a small repertory of modern songs, I'm okay with having songs of all rock ages in this game. That's a good idea. But I think that a lot of the fans want some new stuff, at least I do. Please, make me happy. :D

They probably didn't choose Walk Idiot Walk for the same probable reason they didn't choose Last Nite. Seem to be going for popular songs by popular bands but ones that aren't horribly overplayed though Woman was in GH 2 so ya never know.

Based on that I could see some of those bands being in but not those songs. Micheal Jackson owns Smooth Criminal so that could be a problem. AAF would probably be ok with it but it's not exactly up to them.

Well, that's again a matter of taste. But it's definitely one of the most popular rock songs of the 90s.

Oh, and yeah, the first 2 Oasis albums for DLC would be nice! But I'm also a fan of Standing on the Shoulder of Giants.
