So I like Metal... And want to get into all the subgenres... But it's kind of hard going from Thrash Metal to Doom Metal and Power Metal. So is there any way for me to grow into different subgenres? Like i went from Classic Metal to NWOBHM to Thrash... Whats next?

There three route's you can take depending on your own prefrence, you can take the brutal thrash route (Rigor Mortis, Dark Angel, Kreator and Morbid Saint) this will help you get into death metal.
Or the classic doom which very similar to Black Sabbath (Witchfinder General, Pagan Altar, Trouble and Saint Vitus) this will help you get into the far heavier 2nd wave of doom
Or the classic power metal route (Helloween, Running Wild and Gamma Ray) which appeal to your trad heavy metal roots.

The following (I assume by classic you mean Proto Metal):
Progressive Metal (Start with Fates Warning, Uriah Heep, and Queensryche)
Death Metal (Start with Death and Atheist for Tech Death)
Doom Metal (ask francticfish)

I'd still check them out since he's trying to expand his music horizons, sticking with just the metal genre isn't doing much expanding.

If he wanted to expand into modern Prog. then my list would be much longer ;)

As for metal I forgot Melvins which is a good Sludge Metal band Houdini is great :D

You have to remember even modern power metal has several different directives. You have the arc that focuses on guitar composition heavily influenced by speed metal acts in the classic-era of metal (Firewind, Hibria). You have the arc that focuses on symphonic and progressive composition (Wuthering Heights, Rhapsody) and the arc that focuses purely on synthetic keyboard composition (Power Quest, Dragonland).

Then you have the classic power metal, which I don't really like. But is still relevant (Helloween, Running Wild) as mentioned.

i'm scared of Doom/Death Metal, because... Being a Christian, I go to watch the videos, and people are posting quite the opposite of what I beleive... Is there a form of Metal after Thrash that isnt grossly against my religion?

This is why I hate religion
Still though I dont know of many doom bands who are openly satanic and only a few death metal bands are, are you sure your not getting doom/death mixed up with black metal?. For doom try Sleep or Church of Misery none of their lyrics are blasphemous and death metal try Atheist, later Death and Cynic.

Well, I just don't like any type of religion-hating. If they were all "kill the Muslims" I'd be afraid to hang around them.

I'll try Atheist or Death.

If you want to go into Doom metal, try with some Stoner Doom bands first like The Sword, their lyrics are mostly based around Norse Mythology, no religion hating. I'll see if I can find some other good Doom bands.

What Death, Doom, Death/Doom (actual subgenre) have you listened to? Those aren't typically major motifs in doom, and are only somewhat common in death (though typically ranked far behind violence, gore, war, etc).

I'm liking the Arsis avi. Great band, even better logo. The guy who designed it went to my high school. ;)

If you only like one genre you've got some problems. I say try some blues. Metal is highly influenced by the blues. Its deep and soulful, dark. All great metal acts have listened to and learned from the blues.

Try some blues. The great Robert Johnson, who sold his soul to the devil in order to gain his musical talent, is a great place to start.

For Blues I agree Johnson is a great starting point, but I would like to add:
John Lee Hooker
Howlin' Wolf
Muddy Waters
Lightnin' Hopkins

All great blues musicians

Doom is pretty ok religion wise, because it tends to represent Satan, etc as an antagonist rather than a creature/being to be sided with. That said, unless your faith can stand up to a few DarkThrone songs, you probably need to have a real think over if you're really steady with it.

Try some In Flames maybe
Children of Bodom is a good one too
I'm not a huge fan of death metal, but I do like the melodic stuff
Also, try some Testament, they are a great thrash band

I was gonna recommend Epica or Angtoria, but never mind now LOL.

How about Bon Jovi, they're pretty safe.
