For those few months until I never really noticed a problem gaming, I did notice that on ESPN, the scrolling sports ticker at the bottom would have a weird "stagger" at times while the rest of the screen looked fine. I thought it was normal as I know some HDTVs aren't known for smoothness. (My model of Bravia is 60 Hz, not 120)
Because I thought it was normal I let it slide.
Recently I been getting back into Rock Band big time and for the first time I'm starting to notice that "stagger" in a game, as the notes in the scrolling chart will sometimes will have a slight double or ghost image and look a bit staggery.
What's weird is it doesn't affect the timing at all, and it only does it in certain venues (it actually seems to been certain lighting and or animations from the band that trigger the note chart to stagger).
The stagger usually doesn't last for very long, and the stagger can also be fixed by pausing and unpausing, but no one wants to do that in a the middle of a song.
I don't recall ever seeing it happen in multiiplayer and it has never happened in practice mode, probably due to the static background.
Still it is getting annoying when it does happen and being new to HDTVs, as this is my first, I wanna know from anyone who is familiar with them, is this normal, or may I have gotten a defective model?
Thanks in advance.
