Not that I think the first movie was any good, but I would like to see how the stupid saga ends, I mean they can't leave it like that can they?

When I pull a search on Yahoo movies, I get this title:

Eragon/The pagemaster (2007) and a little sypnosis about the plot. But obviously the movie is not coming out this year. Anybody got some insight?

Books are indeed your friend. Books are almost always better than movies. Except for one flew over the cuckoos nest.

Yes, but it was setting it up for the next book adaptation, so that's understandable. Halo 3 ended in a cliffhanger? Now that's just ridiculous, like the third Resident Evil movie. Leaving us wanting more even though you're clearly stating that the series is over gets on my nerves and affects the way I think about the game/movie/book/etc. as a whole. A good ending leaves you with a sense of fullfillment and a good feeling about the rest of the story, whereas a poorly communicated ending or cliffhanger leaves you with a bad impression of the media.

The only things I know about Eragon is that the writer, Christopher Paolini, started writing it when he was 15 and my friend who read them joked that they read like a high-school essay but he still found the book series to be enjoyable.

I didn't care to watch the movie and all I know is that Jeremy Irons was in it, also assuming that Jeremy used the same acting that he used in Dungeons and Dragons which I also didn't care to watch. Same friend who read the books also filled me in on the "era-gone" wordplay of the book and movie's title, he said the movie wasn't what he was expecting since he read the books and joked that since these movies are normally geared to make spinoffs he joked that the title of the film should have been called FranchiseGon.

Yeah, the book was already very similar to star wars, but then in the movie they made it even closer to star wars than the book was.

Also, is the last book ever going to come out? I mean, the books were pretty predictable/cliche, but they were still pretty enjoyable to read.
