So, I downloaded Alice in Chains' new single, A looking in View, off their up coming album Black Gives Way to Blue

The song is pretty good actually, I like DuVall's voice (prefer Layne's, obviously, but Will is decent)
It can be downloaded off their website, go take a look
Anybody else like it? Dislike it?
This has made me even more excited for their new album this fall, I can't wait.
Thoughts?

i posted my thoughts in another AIC topic, but ill reiterate them here. i was actually very surprised after listening to it, because i expected it to sound totally different than the classic AIC. the best part about it is that duvall fits surprisingly well, and at least in that song, doesnt sound radically different than staley, which in my mind is a good thing. as for the song itself, musically, its fantastic, cantrells riff is absolutely crushing and heavy, just the way it should be. so as far as the sound goes, i like it alot and im pleasantly surprised. however, i think the structure of the song couldve been better, because they seem to milk the riff too much later on in the song, and cantrell doesnt solo which is disappointing, so it didnt really justify its 7 minute + mark to me.

anyways, those are my thoughts.
