This last race was a close one with Death Cab barely beating Band of Horses and Dinosaur Jr. beaing Franz Ferdinand by just 5 votes. Today we have:

11 My Bloody Valentine vs. 22 REM
and
12 Pavement vs. 21 Beck

This is going to be a close competition. I think that REM barely beats MBV. I never really liked Beck's style of music and I love what Pavement does.

My guesses were Beck and MBV. Beck because you are a butt neck. MBV because the big alternative fans love bands that most people haven't heard of.

I know Pavement very well, I have every one of their albums in deluxe edition. I still picked Beck for obvious reasons.

That being said, it'll be sad if REM beats My Bloody Valentine because forum goers don't know them...

For me, I just don't like MBV. I don't like the vocal style they use. Same goes for Lush. I never really got why people liked them so much.

Document was just as good as their post-punk era records. :mad:

...and no their 90s material while in a different direction, did not suck. Were they as polished and well done as Document, Reckoning, Fables of the Reconstruction, Lifes Rich Pageant and Murmur? No. But they were not terrible.
