Hey, for any of the musicians out there. I'm looking for a mini/micro amp for my bass. Something that runs off batteries, can clip to a belt, etc and has an external speaker.

So far the only things I'm finding are headphone amps which are not what I'm looking for.

I have found several mini/micros for guitars, but nothing specifically for Bass. One shop owner told that one of the Dean Markleys with the built in tuner can handle bass, but I haven't been able to get this confirmed and I'm not about to drop 25-35 bucks on something only to blow it out the first time I use it.

Can anyone confirm the above or can anyone point me in the right direction? I would like to have something small that I can clip to my gig bag so I can play/practice without having to lug my 15 watt practice amp around.

Thanks.

i've never used the dean markleys, but i've used my bass through those tiny cigarette-box amps and though they degrade over time they can handle quite a lot of power.
