Purple Haze- Jimi Hendrix, I'd prefer Wind Cries Mary, Crosstown Traffic, and 92109 others, but Purple Haze is good, too

Sweet home alabama- Lynard skynard -- I'd rather have Saturday Night Special, Gimme three Steps

in creating this list i was going for popularity, length, and i also took into consideration difficulty and the time in between parts of each instrument, feel of the song rythmically,
and of course what could work on rock band...of course this list could contain hundreds of GREAT songs but they wont all work into the structure of the game, like you we're saying about people playing a 25 minute song...lol)

well since we're on the subject... interesting fact about quiet riot...the first guitarist was a young 16 year old Virtuoso named, Randy Rhodes...who went on to play with a guy named Ozzy Osbourne

Actually it's more just like rungs on a ladder. Pink Floyd is one of Tool's biggest influences. And Breaking Benjamin was pretty much a Tool cover band before they hit it big. Now, all these bands have individual traits that I like, but yet they still have a lot of similarities.

I can certainly agree with some of those bands, but your song choices are a little suspect. There are better Skynyrd songs than Sweet Home Alabama, better Anthrax, Alice in Chains, Megadeth, Rush, Offspring, etc.
