Rock Band Replacement Guitar (PS3)

Has anybody gotten their replacement guitars for Rock Band? If so, is it better than your original?

The reason I ask is this. I got my replacement today.....it's terrible! It is actually worse than my original! After discovering this, I went online and hunted down that video of how to "fix" your guitar. Well, I opened up my replacment guitar, and discovered that the setup for the strum bar is totally different than the original. I then proceeded to do the "fix" on my original guitar, and it made no difference.

Anyone have any input on this?

Haven't tried opening it, but I got my replacement today and it's just as bad as the broken one right out of the box.
