OK.....This game is great, but not AWESOME! You want to sell more games, you need to widen your "Target Market." You've got the market on most males (it's a video game!) but you could capture women...and families. Go get any 80's Karaoke CD and use any of those songs. EVERYONE loves 80's "Hair Bands" and EVERYONE can sing along with those songs. The song list on the game right now leaves something to be desired!

Poison
Whitesnake
Def Leopard
Aerosmith (their good songs PLEASE)
AC/DC
Guns N Roses
Pat Benetar
Fleetwood Mac
Stevie Nicks
Tom Petty
Blondie
-Fill in the blanks...there are MANY more!

*also, another hint. When you get songs from these bands..use their "HITS", not there "Almost Hits" songs!*

Yeah!!! Thats awesome!
However...

"EVERYONE" is an assumption...dont use it like everone loves what you love.

But anyways,

Poison:
Talk Dirty To Me
Every Rose Has Its Thorn

Whitesnake:
Here i go again

Def Leppard:
Pour Some Sugar on Me
Love Bites

Aerosmith:
Dream On
Last Child
Dont Wanna Miss A Thing

AC/DC:
Highway to Hell
Thunderstruck
TNT
Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap

Guns N Roses:
Sweet Child O Mine
Welcome To The Jungle
Paradise City
Knocking on Heavens Door

Stevie Nicks:
Edge of Seventeen

Tom Petty:
Free Fallin
Refugee
Breakdown

Yeah there's more but i cant think...

"Dream On" might be a little tough to sing, at times! :D I'd welcome the challenge, though! Give us some Aerosmith!

How about The Scorpions, "Rock You Like a Hurricane"? I was so pleased to see it was in Guitar Hero III.

How about some Twisted Sister? I Wanna Rock or We're Not Gonna Take it, those would be really fun.

What about Mötley Crüe? A little Dr. Feelgood, Wild Side, Girls Girls Girls, Kickstart My Heart, and countless others. Maybe a little on the rough side to sing but all in all would be fun songs to play in my opinion.

Actually their target audience is Teenage to young adults

Well... maybe thats not their target but thats mostly who buys their game

Cept they for some reason think the target audience is 45 year old white guys "ZOMG D00D CRANK UP THE WHO MAN! PASS THE LSD MAAAAAAAN!"

Nothin' wrong with classic rock, bro.

Anyways.

I'd definatly go for a Hair Band DLC pack.

Maybe have 'Once Bitten, Twice Shy' by Great White on as well. Nice vocal track, and it's something realativly easy.

Some Differant Tunes.

Quiet Riot:
*** on Feel the Noize
Metal Health
Thunderbird

Guns n' Roses (Unlikley I know, but still, good music.)
Sweet Child o' Mine (Everyone knows this song)
Paradise City
Welcome to the Jungle
Estranged (Be pretty hard for Guitar and Vocals)

Mötley Crüe
Dr. Feelgood (Definatly)
Girls, Girls, Girls
On With The Show
Hell on High Heels

and maybe we're not gonna take it, by Twister Sister. Just some thoughs to kick arround.

two quick points to make.

Gerion:
Whitesnake has way better songs for this game than the ballads.
Cryin in the rain
Still of the night
Fool for your lovin
Slide it in

Tmanrocks:
the target audience for this game is anyone of any age with money in their pocket to spend. traditionally speaking older people have more money to blow. I personally don't know of any "hair metal" fans that don't have or play this game. most of us are 30+ and would love to see some content from our younger days.

now i will say that i would like some newer music as well as some older. i am willing to keep an open mind, unlike some.

these are Not my favorite songs. I think any of these songs would work well in this type of game and that's why i post them. i tried to stay within the Hair metal years because that's the focus of this thread.
I would buy any / all of these sets.

AC/DC
Entire Back in Black Album.
Entire Highway to Hell Abum.
Ok, way too much material here.

Motley Crue
Bitter Pill
Kickstart my heart
Looks that kill
Wildside
Livewire
Dr. Feelgood

Great White
Highway nights
Mistreater
Once bitten, Twice shy

Def Leppard
Rock Rock ('til you drop) or Photograph
Armegeddon it
Pour some sugar on me

Lynyrd Skynyrd
I know a little
Gimme three steps
I ain't the one

Tesla
Little Suzi
Heavens trail
Signs

Whitesnake
Fool for your lovin
Still of the night
Slide it in

Queensryche
Jet city woman
I don't believe in love
Queen of the ryche

Ratt
Lay it down
I want a woman
Way cool jr.

Wasp
Wild Child
Blind in Texas
Animal (probably never happen.)
L.O.V.E. Machine

Randoms or just ones i couldn't think of three good ones for.
Babylon AD - Bang go the bells // Hammer swings down
Dokken - Kiss of Death // So many tears
LA Guns - Never enough // Sex action
Live - The Dolphins Cry // Pain lies on the riverside
XYZ - Inside Out // Maggy
Lita Ford - back to the cave // Kiss me deadly

While not "hair bands", why not an 80's Thrash Variety pack?

Slayer
Anthrax
Forbidden
Testament
Megadeth
Flotsam & Jetsam
Pantera
Helloween

I think if you're going to have Poison, you have to have "Nothin' but a Good Time"

For Guns N' Roses, all those songs are awesome, Ragehammer.

AC/DC
Entire Back in Black Album.
Entire Highway to Hell Abum.
Ok, way too much material here.
So true... so true...

Anyways, Mandrake is right that most of these bands are more fun to play, and some even more easy to play, especially for those 45-year olds on LSD. I would totally download many of these songs right away.

I LOVE all the tracks people have been posting. Sometimes it's hard to sit down and think of all the great 80's Rocks songs....thats because there are SOOOO many of them. I'm guessing that once the game is out and the revenue really starts to pick up, maybe we'll see more of these bigger hit's. The reason I say is because someone has to pay for the rights to these songs. Kick up the "games sold" and kick up the AWESOME 80's Hair Band Pack!

"Cherry Pie" - Warrant
"*** on Feel the Noize" - Quiet Riot
"Smooth Up" - Bullet Boys
"Ballad of Jayne" - L.A. Guns
"Up All Night" - Slaugher
"Rock You Like A Hurricane" - Scorpions
"Burning Like A Flame" - Dokken
Vixen
Dio
Cinderella
Lita Ford !!!
White Lion
Great White
Warrant
Winger
Heart

...OK...I could go on and on. Really this is one fo the ONLY games I can play with my wife. So the only way I can keep her interested is for her to have songs she can relate to. And I'm sorry, most of the songs in the game right now are NOT songs "most" chicks are singing to in their car, or songs they sing to on "Karaoke Night."

Bring in the 80's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Slayer
Anthrax

Testament
Megadeth
Flotsam & Jetsam
Pantera
Helloween

Helloween is power metal

And as far as I know Pantera didn't thrash anything till 1990 when they released cowboys from hell

80s is the best OLD music they were in general alot better than the 70s and 60s

and Mainstream american 80s music is basically better than mainstream american 90s music

I don't know if this has been said yet, but it's Leppard, not Leopard, and AC/DC isn't a Hair Band.
And you forgot Ratt, Quiet Riot, and Warrant.
Anyway

Poisen- Unskinny Bop, Talk Dirty To Me, I Want Action
Def Leppard- Pour Some Sugar On Me, Rock Of Ages, High and Dry
Aerosmith- Ragdoll, Dude (Looks Like a Lady), Walk This Way
Guns N' Roses - Paradise City, Nightrain, Garden of Eden

I don't listen to the other bands you listed, I listen to AC/DC all the time but they're not a hair band.

ROCK ON! :)

Never Enough by L.A. Guns would be the main hair band song I'd want.
Still of the Night by Whitesnake as well.
