So I got my replacement Guitar for the 360. The replacement did not come with the top portion that you snap on. How the hell do you take the top piece off the guitar without snapping it in half? I don't see a release latch or anything.

Check the box real good the top part is jammed in there probably, if it didn't come with it, call EA, cause taking the guitar apart to remove top will void the warranty.

How would taking off the detachable top part of the guitar void the warrenty?

You don't, there's no release latch. The replacement guitars DO come with a new headstock, it's in a separate little box that came in the bigger guitar box. Should have a new strap in there too.
If you really insist on taking the headstock off the old guitar, you'll have to take apart the neck to get at it. Search the forums, there's several posts about doing that. Probably search for 'headstock' will find it pretty easily.

It's attachable not detachable. It's meant to be put on once, not taken off.
OP: did you find your new headstock piece?

You shouldn't need to take the headstock off. You should have gotten an outer box, with the guitar packed in a smaller box inside. The outer box should be big enough to house your full length guitar.
