Hi all,
Now that we have a concrete date for the Game up here in Canada, I just have a fer questions about DLC up here in the great white north.
My main question pretains to when? With the game shipping to Canadian retailers next monday (w00t!), does that mean that we will see all the already-released-in-the-states DLC for the game up on Live next Tuesday, or will we have a delayed release schedule for DLC (One month late), because, that would really suck.
Just looking for some clarification.
Thanks Much.

i wouldn't say we really have a concrete date with the bug electronics store (Best Buy and Futureshop) pushing the date further back current date being the 28th, However id assume the DLC would be available on the Games Official release date thus the 17th-18th
and BEFORE this becomes a look whiny Canadians thread lets just keep it civil

Thanks to HMXJohnlok for confirming that the game's shipping out the 17th. I have no Idea why Future Shop and Best Buy are pushing it back and upping the price (EB is going to have it in stock on the 20th and for the MSRP of $169.99). My theory: They're Idiots.
And yes, please try to keep this thread whine-free and "Stop Complaining, you stupid Canadians" free. Canadians We have the game in a week. ONE WEEK. Be patient. and You others, I just want to know when I get to rock out to "Joker and the Thief". This is NOT being "Whiny".

I just drove to Seattle and bought 2 copies at the Walmart. The only two copies left in washington.... I was soooo lucky to get them. The guy at walmart held em aside for me cause I told him I was coming from Canada ... I was stoked totally. Good folks (at least more Americans) ... some serious dickheads on here of course.

in keeping things civil my 2 cents on the futureshop/best buy thing
If you recall they got everyones hopes up about a Nov 20 release here in canada, only to change their release dates on like the 24th or something like that.
There is also the possibility that the game is shipping to canada in limited quantities (i.e. pre-orders and smaller amounts for big retailers). Should that be the case Futureshop and Best Buy may have already sold a lot of their pre-order allocation and their new date might be a restocking date?
but anyway..... heres hoping the DLC hits canada in one big lump :)

Yeah, I second the motion. If we do get official confirmation that its coming out in a week, the Canadian whinefest will be over on this board.
Okay, after a bit of searching I found HMXJohnlok's post: the game IS shipping to Canada on DEC. 17. Yay.

You're referring to this?!
Last (and only) word was that the bundles will be shipping to Canada December 17.
He's reading the same press release everyone else is; this isn't insider information confirming Dec 17.

Rock on bro! I'm with you!... so its NOT delayed till the 28th?

It is only delayed if you shop at Future Shop or Best Buy.

I just off the phone with the EB I pre-ordered from here and they are still telling me the 20th is the date they'll have it. They don't know how many they are getting in at this point which I don't completely understand... You would think they would know this by now. But I'm high enough on the list that I should be ok when they do get it.

I called EB and they said something like "You'll be rocking on the 20th, GURANTEED"
So, yeah, I guess people who shop at Best Buy and Future Shop are screwed

The original question hasn't been answered yet. When is the DLC going to be available to Canadians and are we going to get everything the Americans got so far up front? I've been playing this game for a few weeks now and I'd like to get some DLC going whenever it becomes available

I don't see why we wouldn't get the exact same thing. If the price is inflated or if there was less DLC I think we'd witness a public uprising far worse than the whole delay thing. It'd be suicide.

Staying on topic here, if you have a ps3 then DLC is already up.Who knows when the 360 will open the market to Canadians?
BTW.....I was talking to fs/bb and they were saying that you will also be able to buy the stand alone guitars. This is just what they said ,I dont know if this is a FACT.

That is a good question. I don't believe we will be staggering the schedule (the songs are already announced, authored, and up on the network), but I will check tomorrow just to be sure.

I'd still like to have them now to save time later. Inflated PSN prices suck, don't like having to get this on 360 cause of that. Does it need the game file to be there on 360? That might be why it's not there.

I received a call this week from my local EBgames where I have had my pre-order in since the beginning of November. They were going down their pre-order list to inform all their customers in the Halifax area.
28 December 2007.
Sad news, especially since the list price is now $200 vice the original $170.

And as for us from the UK who get an even shorter stick than you Canadians (March the frickin' 6th!! as if the US market is THAT important to hold back from us...)
Will WE get the DLC immediately as well? Tempers are already flared over here (as a Gamestation employee speaking) but that MAY redeem Rock Band somewhat. Just really screwed as nowhere near as much will be bought with the glut if it does happen...

It's easy enough to find in Halifax for the list price and selling as early as tomorrow. I would shop around and maybe refund your pre-order if you can find it.

Yes... the price increase to Cancuks is really sad... I wonder if the Euro-fans will face that too.

Well, thing is, there is none. MSRP is 169.99 Canadian. I'm baffled by Greenreaper's delay and update, as even Harmonix has announced that it's this Thursday in stores and for 169.99.
