Alt./Indie rock Tournament: Day 12

Wow, when a link isn't posted to a fanbase, the band actually loses. This is what happened to Muse. They are out along with the New Pornographers. Meaning Sonic Youth and The Cure move on. Today we have:

5 Foo Fighters vs. 12 Beck
and
6 Interpol vs. 11 My Bloody Valentine

This is a really tough decision. I don't listen to a lot of Beck... But for the 3 songs I have heard from him, I've liked them.I like a bunch of FF songs, but some of them are just terrible. Ugh, I need to listen to more Beck. Just heard some, I'm going with Beck. For the second one, I simply enjoy more Interpol than MBV.

Two easy picks for me. Well one easy pick and one sort of easy. FF versus Beck was easy, Beck wins. I do not consider Foo Fighters to be alt or indie so they lose by default. For the second one, I do like Interpol so I hate to vote against them, but frankly MBV is just too awesome to not get my vote. Loveless is an iconic record and is an absolute classic in the genre.

This is tough, I had to pick between two bands I like and two that I could care less about. Yet, I went with Beck and Interpol anyway.
