I've been playing drums for about a year now (real drums, not rock band) and my neighbours, my parents and others are complaining about the noise. Basically, everyone has agreed that it's time I get an electric kit so I can turn the volume down (especially at midnight :P). Everyone's pitching in a bit and I need to start looking for an electric drum kit.
I need a decent quality drum kit, my price range is about 2,000$ (I'll go a bit higher if I have to). Features I need are: Crash Cymbal Choke, double bass pedal and if possible, a loose hihat noise (I can live without it).
Right now the only kit I've found is the alesis DM5 kit but I don't see any reviews for it on any website (link to official site: http://alesis.com/dm5prokitwsurgecymbals )
EDIT: I've also found the Roland TD-9S http://www.guitarcenter.com/Roland-TD-9S-V-Tour-Electronic-Drum-Set-491358-i1395447.gc
Thanks in advance.

If your budget is 2k don't hold back.
Electric drums are hard to get a good price/quality ratio on.
Best way is looking around and finding the best pads for the lowest price.
But i'm to lazy to do that for you so basicly the best thing you could get is this:
http://drums-percussion.musiciansfriend.com/product/Yamaha-DTXpress-IV-Electronic-Drum-Set?sku=444815#new
With a mesh snare drum obviously: (yes you need to buy an extra stereo cable with that)

And for the pedals the obvious entry price pro quality:

i didn't do the math on that kit but thats double bass + electric kit + everything els that you wanted for roughly 200 bucks under your budget.
Now if you want to burst that budget and get a nice highhat i would recommend this: (If you buy a stereo to mono splitter with an extra mono cable you can use your old highhat pad as a 5th tom but you will need to use 1 dual input for 2 toms, if you dont understand look it up on youtube or google)
http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/product/Gibraltar-Medium-Weight-Hi-Hat-Stand-With-Key-Tension-Adjustment?sku=490738#new
as a stand and as a pad:

That would be all, i think thats between 2000 and 2200 with the highhat and between 1800 and 2000 without the highhat.
I who didn't have as high a budget as you bought a TD3 :p
