So my band is in a contest next Wednesday for a local radio station...We are going to play Give it Away and Round and Round. The contest only lets you play on Medium, so we should all get 100% so the score portion should be easy to win. It is also judged by three judges and crowd reaction.

Here is the link to the contest - http://www.1053hotfm.com/Article.asp?id=1360696&spid=22196

Just wanted to see if anyone had any cool suggestions. We were plannin on getting some 80's hair band wigs and stuff but wanted to see if anyone could come up with any cool ideas here.

Everyone gather around the drummer and have the singer take a full band picture WHILE you're playing. It would be more impressive if you could get one of the guitarists to do it while the singer strums for him. That's what we did in a style tournament and the crowd went nuts. You'll own.

did the guitarist hand over his guitar to the singer, while he took the picture?

If improvBoston has taught me anything, it's that playing the solo buttons behind your head is a key to victory.

Also, if you need a costume to improve your performance, you're probably going to lose. They need to see showmanship. Jump around. Point the mic to the crowd if there's a call and response. A band that can get into it is going to beat one that relies on costumes (assuming the judges panel is a key factor).
