I can't get Last.fm to scrobble my iPod, even though it's plugged in and I have enabled scrobbling.

I have not synched iTunes with my iPod, as I have a lot of music on iTunes that I no longer listen to and do not have the time or patience to go through.

You have to have it automatically synced. That way it updates the play count in iTunes, which is what last.fm actually uses to scrobble the tracks from your iPod. Syncing manually doesn't work.

So I have to have every song on my iTunes library on my iPod?

No. I have maybe half of my music library on my iPod but when I plug it in every morning, it scrobbles the tracks I listened to. It doesn't work 100% of the time, more like 80-90% of the time, but it's decent.

This is what used to happen to me but in the last week or two, it hasn't scrobbled any of my listens :(. and I won't automatically sync everything up b/c my brothers rap is on this Itunes and that will never go onto my Ipod

I can never figure out why my iPod will or will not scrobble. Sometimes it works and other times it just plain doesn't. And it's even synced with my library.

Mine randomly scrobbles or sometimes it scrobbles way too much, I can listen to a handful of songs once and let it scrobble and then look at lastfm and see each song scrobbled 10 or 20 times.

It's annoying to clean up.

It's wonky and doesn't work often.

Last.fm has their own forums, yknow.

As I said, the only way for it to scrobble reliably is to have iTunes automatically sync your iPod.

I never really have problems with it.
