Anybody got this game already? Let me know your comments, to see if it's worth getting over Assassins creed or Uncharted Drake's Fortune.

I know all of them are different genres, but I am completly broke, and will only have enough money for one more game this month.

I feel your pain man, I just bought a new car (well, new to me anyway a 00 Chevy Blazer with 60,000 miles) My savings is just about all dried up.

On top of buying xmas gifts I only have money for one game until about mid-January. I'm going with The Orange Box because of value lol.

I liked Assassin's Creed, but Uncharted blows it out of the water in terms of story telling. Graphically they aren't too far off and you'll actually get more play time out of Uncharted. I'm going to rent UT3 this week and see how it is and maybe I'll pick it up in a few months.

I'd wait to hear reviews from other people and then decide between UT3 and Uncharted IMO because I think Uncharted is one of the best games for the PS3.

I hope that's not the PS3 Orange Box you're getting.

Assassin's Creed is great. Drake's isn't anything new. Neither is UT 3 really,I guess it's new for consoles but I think it would last the longest with being able to use all those mods and it's the only one with online.

Yes. It is. The frame rate issues were blown out of proportion and for the only other thing thats negative is that I've heard is that the load times are longer than the 360 version. Load times don't bother me when it's literally anywhere between 10-15 seconds. Also it has a quicksave feature on the PS3 that will probably cancel out most of the time I sit there twiddling my thumbs.

I already own AC and Uncharted ( I think Uncharted is better :p) and the reason I'm getting The Orange Box is because of value. I need to start saving up money again so I can buy all the heavy hitter games of 2008 for the PS3.

Go to the PS Store. It's the 2nd to last icon on the XMB row of icons. If you haven't visited it you have to sign up, I think.

The first couple pages will be stuff that is a few weeks old and I think the new MGS4 trailer is on the front page (it's awesome).

Then just click on the item you want. Download it and then to watch it, exit the store and go back to the XMB and go back a few icons and it will save all your trailers in one section.

This works the same for demos and DLC.

The store updates every Thursday afternoon/evening.

Just connect it to the internet and go to the Playstation Network option and then to Playstation Store.

Oh sweet Jesus. Between that and the new GTA IV trailer I watched them each about 5 times. I can not wait for MGS4. It's going to be the most epic game of 2008...maybe ever. lol.

simple, create a PSN account (it's free) log on and access the PS store it's all there, the front page usually displays the newest content, but there are also tabs which direct you to either, "Games" there you can find free demos, downloadable games some for PS3 alone and older PS2 and PS1 games which are playeable in your PSP also add on content, theres the "Videos" tab there you can find games and movie trailers, and finally "wallpapers" "Themes".

Lots of stuff in there!!

Edit: btw the trailer(the most recent), that I was talking about is for MSG4 the game, although the trailer for MGS online is in the PS store also.

I know they are seperate. Let me see if I can find a ballpark date.

EDIT: I keep seeing Q1 2008 so it'll be out a little before MGS4. They released a beta in Japan a few months ago so Q1 2008 seems somewhat in the right area.

I dont know , it is a seperate game and a demo of it will be in MSG4 Guns of the Patriots.

In a pre TGS press conference on Wednesday September 19, 2007, Konami revealed that MGO would be distributed as a stand-alone product, although a Starter Pack would be included with MGS4. They also revealed that they hoped to continue expanding the MGO franchise for up to 10 years.

Damn it. lol. I actually just did see a UT3 commercial right now while watching "Jim Rome is Burning" It looked pretty good. Some shots of the movie made it look like that new "War of The Worlds" remake with Tom Cruise.

Yeah it was his second topic. He complimented Mayweather on actually going in and being the aggressor instead of sitting back like his reputation suggests.

He complimented Hatton how he showed a lot of heart but couldn't match up with the best pound for pound fighter that is Mayweather.

He also said there is no way Mayweather is going to retire because he cares too much about money.

I'd recommend getting Uncharted, if you have the money, but then again, if its between that and UT3 I'm not sure, because I haven't played UT3. Uncharted seems like a rental kind of game, but its less so than Assassin's Creed would be. I've played through it twice now, and I'm ready to start on it a third time, which is odd, because I generally only play games once, and then throw them somewhere on a shelf (though I refuse to trade them into GameStop for credit, out of principle). The only way I can think of Uncharted is as a movie that you play, and thats probably why I kept playing it. There are different "scenes" that are fun to play through again (like the jeep chase through the jungle).

Even so, if UT3 is a good game (which it likely will be) it would likely be the better value. Even if you play Uncharted 3 times, thats ~30 hours, and I'm sure you can easily log those hours online with UT3.

By the way, LZ, I took your advice about High Velocity Bowling, and threw $10 at it. It's not quite Wii bowling, but it's nice in its own way. I just can't beat the 3rd tournament in the challenge mode.

I have zero interest in MGS4. The more trailers I see the more turned off I get.

I guess I just don't care for the style or something. :)

I watched the long gameplay trailer that came out and was turned off. It looks to be a pretty bleh sneak-action game with terrible AI, inane gear, and silly gimmicks (that make perfect sense in Metal Gear, I know). I really think the AI was what turned me off of that trailer, as well as all of the juvenile humour (that makes perfect sense in Metal Gear, I know).

For me, my enjoyment of the series has dropped off with each game whereas it seems to have increased for some people.

Maybe it'll come out and surprise me, but MGO seems to be far better.

For somebody who doesn't care for the MG series, I can understand the gameplay trailer would seem all the things you said, but for somebody who loves them, like millions of other people (including me) know that we only saw the tip of the iceberg! besides if I know good ol' Kojima, he's probably got a bunch of trikcs and suprises still in the bag. Also I feel the need to point out that the game is still months away from release, they have ample time to fix, tweak and add stuff until it comes out, which seems it's gona be sometime in June 08'now. But look at me, carrying on....your entitled to your opinion, if you don't like the game that cool!! Cheers!!
