View Full Version : Broken Guitar RMA Question

Ok so the other day, me and my friends were filming for my friend's video for his TV production class. The video's about a fake Rock Band band so obviously we were filming us with our intruments, and my guitar got set on the couch and someone fell on it and it snapped. The thing is, it still works, but previously the upstrum had been failing and dropping maybe every 10th note, so I planned to RMA it soon.

My question is, now that the guitar has a snap in the neck (snapped between the green and red solo buttons, those are the only two buttons that don't work now), will I be unable to get it RMA'd? I feel really unlucky, since I was planning on returning it before this. Will I be able to let them know I'm returning to for the strum bar problem and NOT for the snapped neck?

I doubt it, it's now been damaged far beyond what you were going to RMA it for, and I'm fairly certain that 'somebody sat on it and it broke' is not a warranty-replaceable reason.

Obviously you'll have to pay since you broke it. Call them up and find out.
