Red is stuff I don't really like...
Yellow is stuff I don't mind but I don't really enjoy...
Blue is stuff I like...

To be completely honest I don't know where I would even start to fix these charts. Fix, that's quite a bleh term for taste. But I really think this is a tough one to work with even given with HOR's range.

After reading Gowie's April 19th entry, all I have to say is this:

If I wanted to introduce someone to Mission of Burma, I would NOT pick Learn How

Also, there's only like 5 bands I like on your list OP

#1 Won't change ever!!!!!!

When I was in 6th grade, I was 100% convinced that Forrest Gump will forever remain my favourite movie.
It stayed that way, until I saw many many better films.

My point is, I'm pretty sure that the more music you know, the more you'll realise that there are many, many better bands then Iron Maiden. You have no clue (neither do I, honestly) how many awesome and creative music is out there, so much talent everywhere. Just don't make promises like that, because in a few years you'll probably be ashamed you ever thought that.

P.S. Stop listening to Nickelback.

I'll read it properly after work (and sleep..maybe)

but the first thing that jumped at me

36.Rise Against the Machine

Either somethings off there, or bands these days are really unoriginal with their names.

Alrighty...lesse

42.Alice Cooper
-If you only know his more recent work, try going back and grabbing everything from Love It To Death to Flush The Fashion (though Lace And Whiskey is a bit of a weak link in that chain, or at least an odd one).

(Unlisted) Meat Puppets, they're an early grunge-esque influence, and IMO really outshine most of their loose descendants. The II album is my personal favorite,

Speaking of side/back shots off your grunge bands, check out Blind Melon. Highly underrated, and usually written off as a one-hit for No Rain.

Endeverafter (you might have caught them in the 20 free DLC) would flow off some of your listings as well.

1.Iron Maiden
-To add some stuff in similar veins, Queensryche boasts a similar vocal styling, though the instrumental work is fairly different (though based on other choices, probably still up your alley). The grand starting poitn for them is Operation Mindcrime.

-Another group to check out in the power metal vein is Avantasia. The Metal Opera uses a bit more of the power metal side that is similar to Maiden, while the Scarecrow boasts a few more generally accesible songs.

Well as of now no one comes close to Maiden, but that could change someday.

Why do I have a feeling if Michael Jackson was still alive, he wouldn't even be on this list?

EDIT: Nickelback at #3 completely ruined your list.

People have always liked him, he didn't just get named the king of pop after his death. It's only the media that started being positive towards since his death even though they had been constantly talking negative about him.

What the f**k is up with people thinking he wouldn't be on my list, I was listening to him before he died.

Edit: My sentence is obviously about Micheal Jackson.

MJ's an incredibly obscure artist who only a few people listened to prior to his death...

My parents used to like him so I just got into him.

Why is that so wrong?

Even the "elitists" in this subforum were always MJ fans. He was one the best composers of contemporary music. You can't argue that.

His Point: Saying that MJ was not ever credible to elitists is dumber then asking about Zeppelin EPs.

Theirs a lot of bands on your list that are just downright terrible.

And their are also some great ones.

I wasnt referring to this forum considering I never went here before MJ died. But most elitists did not like MJ before he died. I use to listen to him before his death and many indie people who like stuff like radiohead would diss me on last.fm and say "you cant talk, you have MJ in your top". Also was MJ a composer?

Being that a composer is anyone who writes music, yes, yes he was.

I like him and all but like I wouldnt call him a great songwriter like compared to Dylan or Lennon or Jimmy Page. His music is really good though I rank him higher than Sinatra or Elvis. Definitely the quintessential pop star.

That's what I'm wondering.

As for Journey, cheesiest crap I've ever had the displeasure to hear.

That is also the reason why I hate Boston

I wouldn't put Boston even near the cheesiness of Journey. Not that cheesiness is always bad.

So wait, Trident bashed Journey for being mindless, cheesy arena rock but he's a Boston fanboy? That doesn't compute. I like both bands' debut albums, but still.
