On the PS3 guitar, there's a little white button in the dent where the 360's cord would come out (at least I think that's where the cord comes out). I can't figure out what it does, does anyone know?

Knowing me, it's probably labeled in the manual, but I swear I looked there and didn't see anything.

Haha. Yeah it was in the manual. It was called the "connectivity button" and was supposed to be pressed once when you first put in the dongle to sync up the guitar.

I have the 360 version, however, on 360 wireless controllers there is a button that allows you to sync your wireless device with a different console. maybe this is a similar button? do you have a pic?

Ha, well, there you go. That's what I get :)

I don't think it's in the manual, but it is on the little "how to set up your guitar" pamphlet.

Like jq said, it's supposed to be done to sync you to the dongle, but mine always just finds the dongle from the start. It may be more crucial when you have two controllers hooked up...with both dongles plugged in, turn on one guitar, hit the button on the dongle, hit the white button on the guitar, then the PS button. Repeat procedure for the second guitar.

This is just a guess, mind...since I got my replacement guitar in, we did play with two guitars for a bit (since my busted one only has tilt sensor problems), and we didn't have to do anything arcane with the white buttons to get them both to work.

.

Yeah, thats what I meant. The guitar for GH3 gave me tons of problems trying to sync it up so I read the "pamphlet"

Yeah, it's not in the game manual.

Well, that makes me feel a little better :)

two.... controllers.... ? I'm sorry, that looks like English, but I don't understand those words.

we did play with two guitars for a bit

Lucky! I keep hoping something will break on my guitar so I can get a replacement and play 4 player for a while. :D

For the purpose of simplicity, I actually kind of lied.

I have three guitar controllers right now. Two of them work perfectly, so I'm figuring out which one I prefer before I send the other two back.

We really need a "crying" smiley face in here....

But does a crying smiley face really qualify as a smiley face?

Hey, I think I'm on my way to a Zen koan here...

"How many tears can a smiling face shed?"
