I've beaten everything but "Run to the Hills". I get to 42% or 46% every time. Once I got to 62%. I'm so close to An-I-Mal I can taste it, but that last song is kicking my ass. Good Job beating it!

I'm certainly not the first, and far from the best, but thanks. Just takes practice. Probably would've had this sooner if I had been practicing properly.

Sweet, me too, I just beat it the other day(Dec 6). I'm not as good as you, but I have some pretty good score on some expert songs

In bloom - #17
Flirting With Disaster - # 30
Go with the flow - #27

Those are my best I believe, but I probably have gone down a few spots since the last time I checked.

I don't have any drum experience prior to rock band but I'm definitely looking forward to buying a real drum kit.

[EDIT] Tom Sawyer - #28 YEA

Got my An-i-mal last week as well :) Great sense of accomplishment, so congrats! Now go back and try to gold star everything!

I tell you what though, I'd always wanted to drum but was cautious of spending money on a kit - Rockband has changed that and I'll be getting a real kit now - thanks Harmonix!

I've only got 12 more songs (And I already know I can do probably 8 of them, I just can't get past freaking Fall Out Boy) and I, too, will be an AN-I-MAL!...

No prior drum experience with me, either, but I've always wanted to try...

awesome. how many hours did you log on this game?
i dont play often but i had a tiny bit of experience playing. struggled on a few songs on medium. i started the hard solo tour, but ive been splitting time on cod4 and playing on the replacement guitar to make sure it's working well and lasts.

Quite a fair bit. Although, if you want the time spent exclusively on the Expert Drum solo tour, I'd estimate about 8 or 9 hours. Probably a little less.

Hard took me about a cumulative 6 or 7, but then I played on Hard for quite a while to 5 star everything (two left) and get quite a few gold five stars, as well as a ton of score duels.

I find it really hard to believe you've never played drums before.. if you havent, its time for a real drum set bro.

If you didn't have any prior drum experience, I just want to know how many times it took you to beat Dead On Arrival. I'm super-impressed!

Why is it hard to believe?...I'm a few hours away from the achievement and the only instrument i've ever playing is a clarinet back in middle school band (And trombone, but I was terrible)...

Actually, it is credible. If you think about it, you can do horrible and as long as you complete the song and save your "Overdrive" for the hardest parts, you can finish the game.

Have you tried playing these songs on a real drum set?

Shoombabi, do you have any videos? Im curious to see what type of form you've taken on for not being an actual drummer and playing these on Expert. Keep on rockin' dude.

I think it's just a bit hard to believe because of how much coordination it takes to play drums. Lol, many of my friends have tried songs on easy and they can't get it for the life of them, but they shred like crazy on expert guitar/bass. I don't think that comment was made in a negative way, by the way...

To the OP: Congrats! I'm on like 30/65 songs (>_<);; Got a long way to go, and I hope to make it soon...

Hold on.. so you can 100% Metallica but Vaseline is holdin ya back? Try to practice mode. Im guessing the 1/8 note bass drum hits? Slow it down until you get the rythm, then keep speeding it up until you are up to par. You'll get it down eventually.

I beat the career on Expert two weeks ago with no drum experience. I totally believe Shoom could do it, especially after completing hard. I just went straight for Expert, I don't have much time to play with working full time and DEALING with the gf so I decided to just jump in. I've played every song on expert once, fail like 5 songs a couple times, played like 20 songs a second time, and played WGFA 6 times and I got my 5 stars on it.

Only have 2 songs to 4 star, and 2 songs to 5 star.

Not sure why it's hard to believe - I'm in the same boat as Shoombi with no drum experience and I have 5* just about every song on expert. Years of airdrums baby - it's a great training tool - LOL

My brother has a camcorder, so I'll see what I can do about getting something online as far as videos go (I go home this weekend, so definitely nothing before that).

I only used the overdrive fills on Detroit Rock City and Run to the Hills. I haven't attempted either of those since beating it, likewise for Don't Fear the Reaper and Dead On Arrival (didn't use fills, but have no desire to try them again at the moment). However, songs that were giving me trouble along the way (Vasoline comes to mind), I can now do fairly consistently.

By the way, CollegeDropouts, up to 93% on Won't Get Fooled Again...I'm gunning for you :D

Finally got my xbox back on 12/6, got my AN-I-MAL on 12/9. Currently have 52/58 5-stars and I haven't went back to improve my scores yet (some definitely have a ways to go. :P).

holy crap that's awesome. yea i can do everything but run to the hills, so far i've gotten 72% at best but i think with a bit more practice i can get it...

i haven't really hit it hard yet, the only songs that i practiced to try to nail the fills were creep and in bloom, but i did have #2 on the leaderboards for creep!! :) i'm sure i've been demoted like 15 times though since that was like a week and a half ago...

i haven't had real drum experience either, but i have played guitar for a few years and have been in some bands..

No prior drumming experience, and I've had the game for 16 days now.

Damn I feel good. And **** do I ever need a shower!

My drums career score is terrible. I think it's around 5M.

However, when I started I was absolutely terrible. So I imagine I could easily knock some scores up to where they should be if I replayed them

Maybe I'll just go through the whole career again with my other avatar :)
