Mic Problems

Herro,

I picked up a launch copy of RB. My roommates and I played a ton during Thanksgiving break. We found out you really need to sell out do pass the vocals, even on EAsy. You have to sing with your gut for the mic to pick up your voice.

I spent a good amount of time playing on a friend's system yesterday. He had the Mic sensitivity at 100%, the player voice around 80% and the master voice down to 20%. You could pretty much humm into the mic from 2-3 inches away and it would pick up your voice fine. Is this how the mic is supposed to work?

I've set my vocal options the same way but my mic still won't pick up sound well. If it press it against my lips when I sing, it is overpowering, but if I move it away it hardly picks up low tones. You still have to really put some "oomph" into your voice.

Is there something wrong with my mic, or could there be some sort of setting with my game/PS3 that is causing this problem?

I know there have been a lot of guitar and drum problems. Thankfully, mine are working fine thus far. I haven't heard of any other mic problems, which is why I made this topic.

Also, the mics are interchangable between the 360 and the PS3, ya?

I suppose I will take the lack of replies to mean that nobody else is having these problems?
