I've become obsessed, after reading Watch You Bleed: The Saga of Guns N' Roses, I went on a search for more music biographies.
I have since read The Heroin Diaries, Danny Goldberg's Bumping Into Geniuses and The Real Frank Zappa Book, the latter of which being my favorite.
I need some more, can anyone recommend me some?

I've only read The Dirt, which is Motley Crue's bio. Not a bad read if ever you're interested.

I am, after reading the year Nikki Sixx's life, Motley Crue seems like a very interesting read

Wow, I wasn't even thinking about that. Nice catch. :)
Yeah, it's a really sad, touching story. The author had met Keith in person when he was a kid, and it's very cool how he wraps it all up in the end.

The 3 I;ve read so far are all good.
Heavier Than Heaven (Kurt Cobain)
Scar TIssue (Anthony Kiedis)
GOlf Monster (Alice Cooper)

I liked The Dirt alot, mostly because it treated Motely Crue's music as almost an afterthought. It focused more on crazy stories about drugs and groupies, which is really all I want out of a Motley Crue bio anyway.
There's a pretty good one about Sonic Youth that's called Goodbye 20th Century.

Some great recent reads:
Before I Get Old by Dave Marsh. Huge bio of The Who.
Hammer of the Gods by somebody. Much shorter, more accessible bio of Led Zep.
To The Limit by somebody. Great bio of The Eagles.

Yep, that's the one. :)
Good writer. He's got a good voice. Out of the three books I listed, that one was the easiest read. Dave Marsh's bio of The Who is VERY completist, but sometimes gets boring as hell when it ventures into Boring Encyclopedia Entry Factoids territory occasionally.

Yeah, I want it interesting from cover to cover
That's why Frank Zappa's was so good

I have no recommendations, but a wish.
I want a NIN one called "**** You Like An Animal: The Nine Inch Nails Stories"

Don't read Come As You Are. Michael Azerrad wrote the book as a fan, and was incredibly biased in favor of Cobain. Throughout the book one starts to realize that Cobain contradicted himself, and even wanted to become Mainstream (while not to the level they became, he still wanted to be mainstream.) Azerrad is unable to pick up on this, which gets annoying. He also writes about people trying to cash in and become part of the Grunge Phenomena (especially Nirvana) when he is doing it himself. Once again, don't read it.

How about just a Trent Reznor autobiography?
I'd buy it

It can't be titled anything but "**** You Like An Animal".
Actually, I don't like Closer a whole lot. How about Reznor's tombstone message.

I haven't read it, but Zappa's biography is supposed to be fantastic. Will pick it up the first chance I get.

If Hungryfreak's word is worth anything (and I'd dare say that it is), it's amazing.

My favorite: Redemption Song: The Ballad Of Joe Strummer.
I'm on my 4th Clash/Joe biography right now (Out Of Control: Last Days of The Clash is the one I'm reading right now) and I just read a biography on Dee Dee Ramone a couple weeks ago and it was really good

The Dee Dee one would be interesting
I much prefer the Ramones to the Clash (not that I don't like the Clash)
