PS2 release date

I reserved my copy of RB for PS2 at my local gamestop...this was two weeks ago, and they said the day that it would be in would be Dec. 12...i went by there tonight to make sure that it would be ready for pick-up tomorrow, and they didnt know if it would be released and in stores tomorrow or on the 19th...anyone have an idea?

i have a bad feeling that we wont be rocking out on PS2 for a while...I am not a huge gamer, but i absolutely love this game...i dont know if this is standard procedure for anticipated release dates, but from everything i just read, we will be lucky to get the bundle before Christmas...

What we know:
1.It is coming out on Dec. 18th (If we are lucky)
2.The game is outsourced
3.There's no screenshots/videos
4.Ps2 controllers will work on Ps3
5.The microphone will work on Xbox 360 too.


And no it's not STANDARD. That's the first time in my whole gamer life I see this.

I've had the same experience as bouchnick. The only time I've seen things similar to this (developer/publisher saying nothing about a big impending release) is when the game is delayed.

And regarding your #4 bouchnick, we don't know for sure if PS2 instruments will work on the PS3. The only source for that I've seen is blogs. As much as I want it to be true, I won't believe it till someone official says it.

I can guarentee that itll be out on the 19th latest in US....i was just hoping on something earlier...Harmonics has confirmed that the 18th is the release date for the ps2 version..its in the news section of the site guys...yall can stop asking now

It sure would be nice to get a concrete street date for the PS2 bundle release. My girlfriend's going to buy it for me for Christmas, if it gets released before then. My fear is the brittle instruments may be getting re-engineered and that will mean a delay.
