well actually its not sliding (how ever it is loose on some guitars) but the real problem lies in the pad behind the microswitch. The pad behind the Microswitch is too small so after so many strums the contact gets bent and is unable to make a good contection. The video fix above will fix your guitar but this is much more easy.
what you need
masking tape (and something to cut it)
screw driver
tooth pick
wehen you open the guitar and look at the downstrum you will notice that the microswitch is bent out on the downstrum. if you look at the up strum you will notice a gap behind the contact that isnt soppost to move. this gap was on your down strum as well untill enough down strums bent it so that it was touching the pad. here is how to fix it.
Cut the masking tape to about the size of the pad. Then take the tooth pick and gently push the bent contact forward and slide the masking tape (sticky side toward the pad) behind the contact. Put about 3-4 peices behind the contact and then repeat with the up strum.
small pad
---------------] this contact is being bent because of the pad being too small.
---------------] this contact is fine leave it alone.
____Strum bar___
This should fix your strum problems and is a simple and easy fix.
