Will the GH2 Controller work for Rock band

I've actually been wondering this myself. From what I've read, the Pelican USB PS2 controller adapter will let you use the old, wired, GHI/II controllers on a PS3, but at the sacrifice of being able to pull off Hammer Ons and Pull Offs and having to hit the SELECT button for Star Power rather than the traditional guitar tilt, so it didn't seem like using the old PS2 guitar on a PS3--let alone with Rock Band--was actually going to work. Has Harmonix commented on that particular issue at all? Myself I'm planning on getting a PS3 soon, but I was under the impression that to play my old PS2 GHI/II games (and 80's when it comes out) I'd have to keep the PS2 around.

BUT, if the Rock Band Fender Strat is compatible with the PS2 versions of GH1/2/80's, then it's all good and I'll just migrate completely to the PS3.
