Since we have a confirmed instance of a LOVE mix in the game (Within You Without You / Tomorrow Never Knows), I figured I'd start a thread about the album. If you haven't heard it yet, it's definitely worth finding and listening to.

While I'd prefer the original recordings of most of the songs, and WYWY/TNK is probably the only one where the gameplay benefits from the remix, I think there are a couple of remix/mashups that I'd love to see as DLC.

I'd download the Drive My Car/The Word/What You're Doing mix in a heartbeat: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCws04Ut17E

Wait...that mix of Tomorrow Never Knows and Within You Without You is confirmed?

If so, that's cool.

But I'd rather I'd have the songs separate.

And yes, the Drive My Car remix from the "Love" album would be fantastic. As would the Lady Madonna remix.

I definitely prefer to get the originals, but if they offered Love mixes as well, I would love to get them (pardon the pun). My first choice would be Strawberry Fields from that album.

I think LOVE is only needed when the orignal song in question might be very boring on other instruments or the masters are lost, kind of a last resort type thing.

Right.

I'd much rather have the original Drive My Car, The Word, and What You're Doing.

It would be interesting if, when playing the LOVE songs in Quickplay, you could watch the video of the performances in the background instead of the standard gameplay. That would be a really tight use of the LOVE show and music rather than just use the songs as alternate versions.

I'm really starting to get excited over the Within You Without You/Tomorrow Never Knows announcement.

They didn't really do anything to Help on Love.

I enjoy the album, especially Drive My Car/The Word/What You're Doing, and to a lesser extent, Lady Madonna.

I think they would offer some variety, and might be interesting as later DLC.

Right.

I'd much rather have the original Drive My Car, The Word, and What You're Doing.

Even if all three of those songs were on disc, I'd still buy the LOVE mashup because of how well it flows.

The Love album is the reason to be excited that Giles Martin is head of music production for the game. Listen to the original versions of "Eleanor Rigby" or "I Am the Walrus" and then listen to the Love versions. The ones on Love are sonically much crisper and are mixed way better.

The Beatles: Rock Band will should sound fantastic on either a good stereo system or a pair of headphones.

WYWY/TNK is my favorite track from the album. Drive My Car/The Word/What You're Doing and Lady Madonna (mostly because of the perfect use of the Hey Bulldog riff in the middle) are two of my other favorites. I also enjoy Being for the Benefit/I Want You/Helter Skelter.

Also, while it would obviously be much worse gameplay-wise than the original, the LOVE mix of While My Guitar Gently Weeps is pretty moving. It'd be the more fun version to solo voxtar, certainly

It's so stripped down and sounds great with George and his acoustic. You can hear the emotion in his voice, and that string arrangement by George Martin: impeccable. It's hard not to be moved by that song.

AGREE 100%! Blasphemous it may be, but I think I actually like the Love version of that song a bit more than the original. I love how it takes us through the entire evolution of the song, from the demo recorded at John's home, to the final version. It's a brilliant mix.

One of the biggest things I notice in Love is they really amplified and brought out George's harmonies...I would wager that is what you are hearing that is different, I know that is what I notice in Help!.

Sheesh, I think for a Beatles Video Game, they should atleast put the REAL Beatles songs, not some stupid remix that makes good songs shorter.

Of course the original tracks are incredible, but LOVE is a way to hear the band in a whole different way. The amount of time, effort, and care that George and Giles Martin put into the project has to be appreciated. It is truly a wonderful outcome, and you always have the original recordings to listen to.

Totally this.

It's a great show as well. I'd highly recommend it to any Beatles fan. The way they've got it set up in The Mirage is totally awesome. I always win money at the Beatles slots. Go figure.

The Love version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps is full of win. I think it's not done by Eric Clapton, but by George himself.

If you liked LOVE, you maybe are interested in listening to HATE and Hell!. A little less "Beatles", more remix style, but they are very good too (You're Gonna Bruise that Girl, Helleanor Rigid, Blaming Madonna, Lovely Ritard, Act Diabolically... I laughed so hard when I saw the titles, lol).

From LOVE, I love (... easy joke, sorry) Here Comes The Sun/The Inner Light, Being for.../I Want You/ Helter, Come Together/Prudence/Cry baby Cry, and Revolution (it sounds AWESOME).

That show is the best thing ever. I finally got to go to Vegas and saw it twice while I was there. I want to see it again but it's so far and it costs so much to get there. Maybe one day.

I've seen it three times, and I'm planning on seeing it again next week when I'm back in Vegas. They've been running great promotions lately. The show is just mesmerizing...so much to take in.

Love is still showing? AWESOME.

But yeah, I'd pick up the whole thing in DLC, haha, it's amazing

The horns from Savoy Truffle fit Drive My Car so well, the original song sounds boring without them.

Hope to 'Get Back' to Vegas next year and LOVE is certainly the show I most want to see !
Mystere and O were magnificent, adding Beatles songs to The Cirque sounds so exciting.

Only tangentially related to LOVE, there are two noteworthy mashup albums out there, both made by ccc.
The first one is Revolved, which mixed each track from Revolver (plus a bonus track which is a mashup of Rain and It Ain't Me Babe.

The other one is Cracked Pepper, which covers all of Sgt Peppers.

I'm not about to link to the sites that host this, but a google search is really worthwhile.
The mix of She Said She Said and Crosstown Traffic is pretty dense.

As someone who went to Vegas and has seen Love in person and listens to that soundtrack multiple times per week I have to say....PLEASE MAKE THE ENTIRE LOVE SOUNDTRACK AVAILABLE AS DLC!!! I would buy it immediately on day one!!! And also allow us to play it all the way through like you're watching/listening to the show!!

I prefer Beatallica myself. They mix Beatles and Metallica songs into some pretty awesome stuff.

Anyways, Love rocks, and I love the intro to Get Back
