Usually I find myself agreeing with your moderations, but I'm curious as to why something like the Song Unlocking rant was locked?
As long as people aren't taking personal potshots and starting a flame war, or deviating from the topic intentionally, I don't see how locking a conversation helps the forums in any way. I was under the impression that a forum is a place for open discussion, and the locks and ban-hammer are used to combat breaches in a terms-of-service, not as a result of arbitrary moderation for something "running its course."

Some people just like to abuse their "power?" Though being a moderater on a message board is hardly what I'd call "power."

This wasn't to take shots at him, it's a legitimate question. I was just hoping to get a response before bed because I saw him around, but I suppose I shall look in the morning.

The thread was kind of lame in regards to Rock band anyway since, let's fact it,
Rock band isn't THAT hard to unlock. Guitar on Medium, or Get a friend to help you out with the bass pedal on Medium Drums.
And there's lots of mocking posts in that thread, some of which had bizarro examples
which incite counter mocking, etc. I'm glad it's closed, personally. I think all the interesting points were brought up anyway.

Legitimate question, but maybe one best sent in a PM?

90% of that thread was smartass remarks that were old before they first popped into the teenage/preteen posters head.

Quoted for irony. ;)
In all seriousness, the thread had pretty much served its purpose and wasn't really going to go anywhere from there.
