View Full Version : The Third Gameplay Trailer

This is a genuine ChrTh Theory (tm). All ChrTh Theories are guaranteed true until proven false.

So I was meditating on the remaining songs, and it occured to me that there was another clue out there I haven't seen anyone touch on.

The trailers.

Both trailers end with, well, an ending number. Both songs have an end element that make them effective to end a trailer: Get Back's "I hope we passed the audition", and Revolution's "Alright! *strum* *strum*"

So I said to myself, what would be a great "end song" to the 3rd Gameplay Trailer? And it took me all of 4 seconds to reach the conclusion that some of you made once you realized where I was going with this:

I've Got Blisters on My Fingers!

It's been rumored and pretty much considered a given, but I propose that the reason Helter Skelter hasn't been officially revealed yet is because it will be the final song in the Third (and probably Final) Gameplay Trailer and they want to keep the songs in the trailer more or less under wraps.

Seems likely.

That's not a bad little theory you have there.

Don't underestimate the epic selling power of ending a trailer with "Hey Jude" or "Let It Be".

You know, that does seem likely.

Not bad choices, although I think they would be more effective showcasing the "everyone join in" part rather than the end (in other words, the third trailer's Yellow Submarine)

Wow, nice theory. That seems likely to end it

Don't underestimate the epic selling power of ending a trailer with "Hey Jude" or "Let It Be".Yeah it would be epic to end in "Na! Na! Na na na! Na na na!"

Second most likely: the chord after A Day in the Life

Second most likely: the chord after A Day in the Life

The animated intro ends with this note.

Maybe the last song will be And Your Bird Can Sing and end with the chord?

A Hard Day's Night chord? No?

I'm really thinking Ringo at the end of Helter Skelter or possibly the final chord of A Day in the Life. Although they end the cinematic with the crescendo, that final E chord isn't played.

A Hard Day's Night chord? No?

I could actually see that being the start of the third trailer.

OP: Not a bad theory. I can actually see and hear in my mind the "I've got blisters on my fingers!" line over the "The Beatles: Rock Band 09/09/09" screen that has ended both trailers.

I was actually hoping for a trailer with the other 7 announced songs because the trailers pump me up so much.

If we're going to ponder the patterns and connections, it's worth noting that both of those lines come from John.

What about the end of I Want You? It suddenly stops, and then "The Beatles Rock Bnad, 09-09-09 comes up.

Wow, amazing, now I will not be happy if the next trailers doesn't end with some epic stuff like "I got blisters on my fingers" from Ringo or "Na nana nananana" from Hey Jude. Screw you guys:D

The animated intro ends with this note.

A good point, but it doesn't hold for the full length. Of course, it's a less "exciting" ending than I've got blisters on my fingers!

Helter Skelter it is ;)

Well all of the trailers have been in chronological order... so does it make sense as A Day In The Life? Nahh... Helter Skelter seems more likely...

It seems likely Helter Skelter will be in the game (just a feeling really), and is as good a song as any to end a trailer with

and cmon get it right! its..."IVE GOT BLISTERS ON ME FINGERS!

OP has a great point, and it would be a perfect way to end the trailers.

Another way to do it, and I think this would also be great would be to cut to the last line of "The End" when the "The Beatles:Rock Band" plaque comes up.

So, as the "The Beatles: Rock Band 09-09-09" and all the other information fades on to the screen, you hear the "And In The End, The Love You Take, Is Equal To The Love You Make. Ahhhhh"

No it's not. That's frequently thought (including by Seth McFarlane (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40DxeEiXCaw)), but listen to the track. Ringo clearly enunciates "my"

That would be a great ending, but I don't know if they'd want to include a DLC song (Medley is confirmed in the Abbey Road DLC) in the trailer.

Yeah, that's why I had it over the information plaques, rather than gameplay footage.

I just love that song a lot and think it was the perfect end to The Beatles

I agree on two possibilities:

- The last chord of a day in a life
- Hey Jude's sing-along -part

But I guess it is hey jude, since i don't reckon A day in a life will be in the game. Too much piano - A pity, though. I love that song.

twas a joke anyway

Based on the fact that the ending songs have been from later in their career, and have been well known, I see it as between these three possibilities:

Helter Skelter
Hey Jude
Let It Be (the ending piano/organ thing could work well for the end of the trailer)

Didn't they play "Let It Be" on the Abbey Road roof in real life before the Beatles parted ways? If they included the Abbey Road roof I would think they HAVE to include this song, plus it would be the epic end song that HMX is known for. GH2 had FreeBird, and RB1 had either Run to the Hills or Green Grass and High Tides as end songs (depending on your instruments). Let It Be would be that final song that ends it all just like the real Beatles.

I think it will end with Don't Let Me Down.

I doubt Let It Be will even be on the disc. There is just not enough going on with all the instruments. Unless they put Free As A Bird on the disc I am going with Get Back as the epic final song.
