I recently had to purchase a new PS3. And while I backed up all the information from my last one, including all my game saves, I seem to have lost my band profile when transferring the data to the new machine.

I had aquired a significant amount of stats with my profile and really want to get them back. Does anyone know how I can do this?

When setting up the game on the new Playstation, I can't even use my own band name online as it recognises that my band already exsists. Anyone that can offer any help at all, I'll be deeply indebted to you.

The save files for Rock Band on PS3 are locked meaning you can't move them or restore them from backups except on the exact same console. There is sadly just no way to move them to another machine.

That's a real blow. It means the band name, characters, logo and stats I so carefully took the time to develop are lost to me. Unless, there's any way to delete the online history of my band?

Unfortunately, no, you cannot delete bands or characters online.
