Well, let me say that there will always be certain songs that people will want to see available that never will be. If I could have it my way, then I'd have to choose from a list of several hundred songs to put in the game. But, instead I'm going to give a short list of some things that I think would be great ideas to add as DLC. Hopefully somebody will read this who gets to make these sort of decisions...
Sweet Home Alabama - Lynyrd Skynyrd
Magic Man - Heart
Purple Haze - Jimi Hendrix
Immigrant Song - Led Zeppelin (I cannot believe that Zep hasn't been featured in any of these games yet...)
Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana
Dream On - Aerosmith
Midnight Rider - The Allman Brothers
My Sacrifice - Creed
Bennie and the Jets - Elton John (Okay, not exactly HARD Rock, but man wouldn't that be fun to sing?)
American Woman - The Guess Who
In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida - Iron Butterfly (Yeah yeah, I know it's seventeen minutes long, but so what?)
Houses Of The Holy - Led Zeppelin
Paint it Black - The Rolling Stones
1979 - Smashing Pumpkins
Magic Carpet Ride - Steppenwolf
Born to Be Wild - Steppenwolf
Ok...it wasn't that short, but once I got started I couldn't stop. A few aren't exactly perfect for Rock Band, ala Bennie and the Jets, but most of these I think would be perfect for the game.
Now to go kick myself for realizing that I'm giving them ideas to make us spend more money on this wallet-draining game...
