I've been a huge Gazpacho fan ever since I saw them open for Marillion after Vulture had just come out (one of those rare opening acts that blow you away). With the quality of their last two albums, I think they're the most talented newer prog band out there. They're fantastic live too, I'm glad they're finally big enough to do their own solo tours now.

Well, for artists with bigger discographies like Blur and especially R.E.M., I don't think "best ofs" are that bad of a starting point, provided that the person actually looks into the artists' actual albums later. But in general, yes, compilations suck.
My last few albums:
Talking Heads - Little Creatures
Deep Purple - Machine Head (I already owned it, but my disc was in pretty bad shape)
John Coltrane - Lush Life

"best ofs" are good for being a base starting point, but I agree that they are kinda lame for failing to express the real and complete sound of a band. Full LPs often enough are choreographed, leading into really cool segue's, as well as lesser known tunes that are great intros or closers. COnsider them than as teaser trailers.

It's been a long time since I bought a hardcopy CD. A lot of the CD buying I do is usually to replace a CD that I own that's now too scratched to play. My last 5 downloads on iTunes though:
Iron Maiden - "Ed Hunter (Remastered)"
Pink Floyd - "Dark Side of the Moon" - Bought this to replace badly damaged CD.
Green Day - "International Superhits!"
Spinal Tap - "Back from the Dead"
"Weird Al" Yankovic - "Straight Outta Lynwood"

You did, but not that way. I remember one of the guys from the band posting "Thanks for listening" in your shoutbox so I decided to see what was up. Good album, too.
