More British Bands!

Ok you've got the Who, and Bowie, and they are truly awesome. But there seems to be a chronic lack of anything British from the last 20 years! So, by way of a few examples:

Radiohead
Manic Street Preachers
Happy Mondays
The Smiths
U2 (ok, actually Irish)
Gorillaz
Pulp
Blur
Skunk Anansie
Reef
Stone Roses
Suede
Oasis (I hate them but lots of people don't)
Terrorvision (cheesy but I like them)
Placebo

Heck even some of the new stuff is good:

Arctic Monkeys
Bloc Party
Razorlight

Seriously there's a lot of UK fans of the GH games and a lot of the music you've used was only famous in the states! We only know Jessica 'cause it's the theme music to a TV show over here! Stop being so US biased!

Anyone got any more suggestions?

PLACEBO, Bloc Party, Oasis, U2, Blur, Radiohead!! Awesome! I would even add Coldplay to the list. (With a Guitar song, like One I love or something)

I'd like to add Placebo, although there not really british (the members are from different countries and none is from britain) but they have the most success in Britain... so...

1. I think I get the same feelings when I listen to Metal. ;)
There are really cool songs by Coldplay that would fit for Rockband. I've just listen to "One I love" again and it would work! And I can also sing it. :D

Maybe they should make an European version with some songs changed, just like Sony does it with Singstar. But I'm afraid they would remove good songs then... hmm... better one version for everyone. But still, more british bands would be cool!!

Well, you know, I know that there are bands out there with guitar soli and everything that would be cool for a guitar game. But I think Rockband is a game for everyone, guitar players, drummers and singers. Of course Coldplay is a band with a lot of piano songs. That won't work that well for Rockband. But they have some great guitar songs too, they may not be that much of a challenge to play, but why not. It's still a nice song and brings more variety into the overall songlist.
So yeah, "One I love" is probably best for Rockband. But I would have to listen to every song of them again to tell you exactly. But One I love was one of the first that came into my mind. The song "Moses" would be very cool too!!

Oh, and, you don't have to like it, but I still think it would work for RockBand.

EDIT: "White Shadows" would work too!

for me it has nothing to do with difficulty of the song but how fun it is to play...but ill check those two out and get back to you

ok i listened to one i love and i think it would be very boring to play...vocals might be fun...but i dont see the drums and guitar getting too exciting....most of the song uses the very basic drum rock beat bass snare bass bass snare...and im sure well be seeing some of that in rockband in multiple songs...lookin for moses now

Hm, like I said "White Shadows" would work too. (Altough, probably not as good as Moses, especially not the drum part) But you don't have to listen to all the songs. *g*
I would like to play One I love because it's a good song, nice to listen to and the singing part is also good.

Anyway, Coldplay would be nice because I like the band, but I would prefer Placebo over all, I just hope Placebo is on the list someday, and I could live without Coldplay.

I love Bloc Party and Arcade Fire! Arcade Fire isn't a british band btw, they are from Canada.
Anyway, if they are in the game it would be great, I mean, you don't have to play them. (except for once, if you want to finish the career mode.)

Hehe, I edited my first post too, so that Harmonix sees the name PLACEBO immediatly.
I would like "This Picture" the most, I guess, but "Biiter End", "Taste in Men" and many others would be great too. Actually I'm happy with every song as long as it is Placebo.
And it should be master, I guess it would be hard to find a second Brian Molko. Although, main thing, Placebo is in the game.
