My opinion regarding crappy hardware ( support and warranties )
Just as eveyone else knows the reason why. The problem is the Corporate people involved with game sales at EA are pushing to make millions off you the consumer.
Yes, they realize they shipped faulty hardware for all systems.
I am one of many that have had their drum kick pedal break after only going through easy mode once. I started medium and 'SNAP' the thing breaks in half.
Warranties are being honored but.. do you really think you can get a replacement unit during the Holiday Season?
It is in the best interest for the Sales dept. to make sure they sell as many faulty units during the Month of Dec. for paying customers to boost their over all sales.
If they replaced your warranty units first they couldnt very well sell any new units.
Any negative feed back in blogs and forums controlled by them are being scanned monitored and deleted. My post wont last long.. but hope that enough of you read this to realize, that anytime a company ( we the customer ) help make a sucess should also know we also control their future. EA the jugernaught of a company with all thier money is offering you ( the person that paid 169.00-200.00 for RockBand ) a game that cost them less than 1.00 to mfg and send as an apology. Do yourself a favor, you have had this game less than a month so take it back to the store you bought it from and demand a refund for faulty equipment. Stick it to this company that you helped make sucessful.
HMX sold out to EA and with the price EA paid them... I guarantee you HMX could give a flyig flip about your problems. HMX knows It's not thier problem anymore, it's EA's. They used the lowest bidder to mfg. this hardware and the result is... JUNK. What's really sad is Fender , Gibson and other real MFG of musical equipment name is being tarnished because of this. People dont say my Rockband Guitar is Junk they say the Fender is a piece of Junk. Look, I think the concept of Rock Band is great. However what they delivered is a game that only functions as well as the hardware will permit it to not the software. EA --> Electronics Arts has in my personal opinion killed the gaming market. they use their pruchasing power to buy up small companies and buy exclusive licenese like the NFL and Movie rights and any company that is making more money then they are during the year. In return they make what you grown to love into a big pile of crap. Just like Apple Company will kill Microsoft in sales this year i also believe that all Giants such as EA will fall. You the customer have this power... all you got to do is quit buying anything with EA on the name. If you think about it wasnt NFL2K serries, Burnout, and many other games better prior to EA buying the company or forcing them out of the market. The same holds true for HMX. You loved Guitar Hero I and II but soon as they sold to Acclaim and EA look what you get... Guitar Hero III probly. the fastes selling game this Christmas and hmmm, can you find any other than the one that comes with the old Xbox Explorer Guitar ? What a joke. Rockband ...Uhh i may see a couple boxes in stores a week ... well those could be your replacement unit but... nope.. your stuck until after the holiday. Have fun with your broken hardware, Merry Christmas and enjoy the game EA selects for you to play as you wait months on end for a replacement that will most likely be the same mfg. peice of crap you broke in the first place.

You were right about one thing... your post wouldn't last long.
If you're having problems, the support channel can help you take care of defective hardware.
