Rock Band and GHIII wireless guitar (Activating Overdrive)

Just wondering if anyone else has/is experiencing the problem.

I have Rock Band and GH3, both for 360. When using the GH3 wireless guitar with GH3, I can activate Star Power no problem by tilting the guitar in the normal fashion.

When using the GH3 guitar with Rock Band, (as Guitar or Bass), I cannot activate Overdrive with tilting the guitar. The only way is by pressing SELECT on the guitar face.

I'm not sure, but at first, when playing guitar in Rock Band, I used the GH3 guitar exclusively, and don't think I had any problems. Then I switched to the Rock Band Strat and used it exclusively. Just a few days ago, when my drums broke, my daughter and I started using the GH3 guitar again with Rock Band and noticed the problem for the first time.

I had this same problem at first, too. I have found that the issue is the relative angle of the guitar when you first start playing. If you keep the neck of the guitar roughly parallel to the floor, star power is easy to activate in Rock Band with the GH3 controller. If you start with the neck fairly tilted, star power becomes impossible to deploy (I tried waving the thing all around once and got nothing).
