View Full Version : End credits song

I personally believe that Get Back will be the last playable song in the game. Then, there should be some kind of cinematic with or followed by the end credits. So what do you think should be the song played during the ending, presuming that it couldn't and wouldn't be used as a playable song before.

Sgt. Peppers (Reprise) leading into a medley of some sorts.

Ok, so ruling out songs that would be in the game on-disc, eh?

It would make sense if the end brought us around back to the beginning, and gave us something like Love Me Do, Please Please Me, She Loves You, or one of the early ones that aren't in the game.

Yeah. I think that it should be a slow emotional song though as it's been said that “If you don’t cry when you see it (the ending), you don’t have a soul".

I think it should be All You Need is Love but I doubt it because people would expect to be able to play the song if it's in the credits but they might not be able to get DLC. It might be Sgt. Pepper (reprise) and then A Day in the Life. I could also imagine Across the Universe or Hey Jude being played. It'll probably be more than one song.

Either Sgt. Pepper (reprise) or Across the Universe. Or perhaps even Free as a Bird, that would be a nice song to end on.

It should be "The End" off of Abbey Road that'd be funny. But Across the Universe would be great.

It would be genious to have Across the Universe as a playable during the credits song, kinda like the way they do it in Guitar Hero. "Across the Universe" has a great theme for the final credits and works perfect sing it's album, Let It Be, was released after the Rooftop Concert (probably the last set on the career mode).

They could probably go with a short(er) song this time. They don't have to do different credits for 80+ songs/ artists.

Lol it would actually be awesome if they did that. Maybe Bang Camaro could even cover a Beatles song and play that during the credits.*

The Long and Winding Road
That's what I was thinking. Dunno if that would be a blast to play, in which case maybe we're talking about Across the Universe. But it's not The Beatles lack for emotional heartbreakers.

No Song. I'm thinking just clips of Interveiws iwth the Beatles. Maybe some clips from some of the movies. Actually, wait. There should be a song that is just in the Background. Nothing too special. At all. So... Flying? Something that people aren't gonna be like, "Hey, Why can't I play this song?". But the main Idea should be video clips of the Beatles themselves.

Actually, I want The End to be the last song, and the dreamscape be The Beatles playing the song at a literal crossroads in the middle of a desert, with a truck stop thrown in or something.

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise) + a day in the life would be perfect for the end credits also the end would be great

deadpool247

"In My Life". Since they said it'd make us cry, the end credit sequence should have this song. If the video of it is done right, this song might do the trick.

trivia! This is the only song credited to all four Beatles as writers. For this reason, it's the only Beatles song that avant-garde steadies The Residents have covered.

I don't see why that hasn't been suggested more in this thread. Seems like a pretty good fit to me.

I'd also put "Carnival of Light" as a serious possibility.

The more I think about "making us cry", the more I think it will be, and has to be, Across The Universe. Perhaps taking the Naked version (presented here if you haven't heard it), charting the bass to strings and finding some lost drum accompanying track (it could happen, it wouldn't be anything complicated). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCKANiM9tUM

But yeah, just hearing it over as simple and pretty an animation as that one starts making me kinda sad, and hearing it over watching The Beatles pack up off the rooftop and walk through the memory-lined hallways of Abbey Road Studio and out the door in separate directions would be enough. Particularly since we're hearing John and know where his path leads.

Stinger503

I think it should two songs the first being Blackbird. Possibly a singers/guitarist only song but you could work in bass and drums if need be. This would have pictures of the real Beatles playing together in the background.

Then you'd finish it off with All You Need Is Love. The lyrics would be perfect for the end of the game. Really it would be perfect. You'd transition from the Beatles pictures to a dreamscape. That's my opinion anyway

All You Need Is Love is confirmed as DLC so I doubt this.

I do like your idea of including a real-life video of the Beatles - to take all that experience that you've had with the game and make you realise that "hey, this really happened!"
I also like the idea of the band packing up their stuff in Abbey Road and heading their separate ways.

I would reckon Across The Universe or A Day In The Life, but Free As A Bird could be a good representative of the band, as The Beatles' actual final recording.

The long one, or at the very least, The End.

After all, that's the sentence the Beatles wanted to be the last of their whole career, so I think it deserves to be the last of the game too. In My Life is very different than the others, the Sergent Pepper's Reprise may be useful BEFORE the medley and the others don't fit very well according to me.

They could show the last film of The Beatles in the grounds of Tittenhurst Park from august 69 that was used at the end of the Anthology.

Moony_Lupin
07-29-2009, 07:46 AM
It sounds cliche to use In My Life, but they used it to open the Anthology, so they believe in the song's meaning. I think the game will end a little more up tempo, so I'm predicting a mix or something like Across the Universe.

But Rock Band doesn't have credits songs.

Hahah nice observation, but it's a Beatles game, not a Rock Band game. Hence the name The Beatles: Rock Band.

I would also like Free As A Bird at the end. Hopefully that's available for DLC.

I don't think they should include death in anyway, way too depressing. I would like Free As A Bird as the ending however. If they choose this song, I would still prefer all four of them be there. Hinting that John is dead just wouldn't be right, and I've got a feeling HMX won't do that.

I'd still just go with the "John absent from the studio, present in the dreamscape." Even when they were recording it they sort of half-pretended that John had recorded his part earlier and just stepped out for coffee or something... I also think that bracketing the song with well-chosen "chatter" would be very important to getting the tone right.

Cool ending= Sgt Peppers Reprise
Sad ending= Across the Universe
Neutral ending= The End or A Day in the Life
