Changing the leader of the band

Ok, here is something I can't figure out. Myself and 2 buddies play this game as a band. Our "band leader" is Reiko (a girl). Reiko plays the drums. We want to use our own created character on the drums, but it says the "leader" has to play. Can't we get rid of the band leader? Or something? It sucks when the drummer in the band is a guy, but the character on screen is a chic. Any help? Thanks in advance to all.

No, sorry. This is a common complaint. The band leader always has to play with the band, the leader can't be changed to a different person, and each person you create is stuck always playing the same instrument.

This is the lamest thing ever! I hope Harmonix changes this, so I am expected to start 4 different bands to play the intrument I want to at the time?

I usually just play with me and my wife and she has no interest in the drums, so I can never play guitar in the band I created due to some poor decision making on Harmonix' part.

I just don't understand how you can't just create one character log onto your identy and pick up the damned instrument you want and play it.

At the very least let us switch the band leader around I mean all my created characters are under the same identity so let whoever be the band leader. I mean what does the band leader have to do with anything?

It's probably a safer bet in the future to make the band leader a Guitarist. Rare are the cases where you have a drummer / vocalist. Every other combination is covered by having a guitar for the leader.
