My disappointment is writ large.

Addendum: all responses can die in a fire. In fact, all abstract concepts can die in a fire. Did I cover everything? Good. HAR HAR I'SE TROLLIN'.

Seriously, though, this game has a lot of room for improvement. A gaping chasm, one might say.

The funny thing is...actually, I did get in this evening, but our chosen One disconnected after the first question, which of course reset everything. FANTASTIC. You can imagine my frustration.

Contestants won't IMPROVE, per se, but their formula for picking people who actually know more than how to press X will probably be worked on.

I was excited when the beta came out. Then it got old when it airs every night. The chances of getting in the mob is like winning the lottery. Most of the questions are abstract. I very seldom play it anymore.

And I almost forgot about that "live" host.

Sure, it might get frustrating if you get disconnected or something, but at least you have a fun, free game that can earn you stuff! Honestly, people today are spoiled. It's a cool concept, and it's only in beta for heaven's sake. Be glad you're getting something, instead of shoddy PSN connection like I'm getting right now.

I usually go down to Texas in the summertime to be with my aunt and uncle and cousins. Sadly, my aunt and uncle are currently going through a nasty divorce, so we didn't go down there this year. :(

I've played this a few times, so has my fiancee, we've never been disconnected and we play on Wireless for gosh sakes. Perhaps its an issue with your xbox and your connection. :rolleyes:

The only things that bother me is 1) all the advertising/breaks and 2) the fact I'll probably never get to be in the mob and thus will never win anything.

I'm pretty good at trivia, but it's just the fact I refuse to play 1 vs 100 every day just to improve my chances of getting in the mob. The hours of it doesn't work so well for me. It might be better once I move though. I just don't like the 11pm EST games during the week.

Also, I've never been disconnected and I'm on wireless. I think it's just you, OP.

The thing is 99% of the time, you're going to be in the crowd. And being in the crowd is flat out stupid.

1. Time based scoring gives you zero margin to review all the answers or make logical deductions.

2. Revealing the answers slowly means anyone can steal your responses once they catch on you're smart.

3. To win anything you basically have to go undefeated with robot-like speed.

4. Completely mysterious, backwards, and unfair criteria to get chosen for the real game. Supposedly one of the criteria is response speed... whether or not you got the question right.



It's also not helping that many of the top players are forming super groups and helping each other over the in-game chat.



I almost wish there weren't prizes because it would get rid of the stupid Sprint ads, and people would be less motivated to cheese the system.

I enjoy the game the way it is, but I don't like the way it's scored. The speed based part pretty much guarantees that the top three people are drawn from a relatively small pool of people, and sadly, that means my chances of ever getting to play the real game are nil. Kind of a turnoff. It's fun to play in groups, yeah, but it's also kind of disheartening to see people beating you by thousands of points even if you get every question correct.
