I am new to this forum however I enjoyed playing both versions of guitar hero on playstation and was quick to play the improved version on xbox360. I am a proud owner of a Playstation 3 however that is not my point. I have some ideas that I would like to see used in the new Rock Band game due out this holiday season. 1. Rewind- Anyone who has ever paused the game due to a ringing/vibrating phone, or friend or anything, knows how frustrating it is to lose that 4x multiplier or even 8x multiplier. So I propose that when the game is "resumed" that the previous 3 or 4 seconds are redone with the notes somewhat clear so that you can pick off where u left off without losing points or a multiplier. 2. Multiplatform online- Currently, I think only xbox360 and PC share multiplayer online, however this game would be the perfect opportunity to bridge the gap between xbox360 and PS3 users.3. Adaptive controllers- This game is undoubtedly going to be expensive with all the extra controllers and intruments, but cost would be less of an issue with multiplatform controllers. If each controller could either of the consoles this would ease the pain of purchasing a drum set, because you could use it on your system or your friends system. Many of these ideas I have thought of on my own, so I am interested in other peoples ideas, whether you agree or disagree, feel free to comment. Anyone with enough initiative to start a petition go on right ahead and put my name on the list. Now go try Jordan! (and maybe that bucket on your head is a good idea...)

<br><p>1) Sounds like you could use that feature to cheat your way through really hard sections. You could just keep pausing the game after doing a few notes and giving yourself plenty of time to figure out whats coming up next.<br></p><p>2) Xbox live is a closed system. I seriously doubt you'll ever see it communicating with an outside service (except for that whole thing with EA)<br></p><p>3) I bet they'll do this if they can, but I wouldn't get your hopes up.</p><p>4) Petitions are annoying. </p>

thanks for responding and some of that is just what i needed, but to clarify, the rewind part would show the notes you have already done and then from where you hit start the notes would become full color, allowing you to "get it back"<br>

I understand what you're saying, but the time it would give you to prepare yourself could be used to cheat your way through really hard/fast/complicated sections of the game. Don't keep your hopes up for this feature, it is a bad design.

<P>Perhaps as an alternative to the "Rewind" idea here, you could have a "Restart from last section" on the menu list; you'd have to go back and redo what you'd done before, all for points again.</P>
<P>This would allow a few nice things, I think. Firstly, you'd be able to pick back up a section you'd already completed to "get your groove back" if interrupted; secondly, if a solo from a song busts your hump, you could pause/restart from a point just a bit before, rather than having to blast through the entire song again just to get bested by a savage riff that you couldn't get the first time all over again.</P>
<P>Since they've already got the means to break the songs into distinct sections (and anyone who's seen how they do it in GH knows that they've broken it up plenty for this to be feasible), I think that this would add a bit to the game ... of course, you'll still get people that boost their scores by flitting up section by section, redoing anything that wasn't perfect, but ... well, with online capability, obviously the single-player scoreboard isn't going to be the new hotness, and this would (obviously) not be an available functionality in online/multiplayer play.</P>

<P>We need real rockstars and real venues in addition to classics like the grim ripper. Heres some examples that I would like to see</P>
<P>Hendrix,Slash,Lennon,Presley,Cobain, Frusciante, Buckethead, Angus Young, Jimmy Page, etc. </P>
<P>MTV Unplugged (an acoustic mode would be cool), Hyde Park, Pinkpop, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Woodstock 69, etc.</P>
<P>Also, I hope you can play an instrument and sing, like guitar and sing. </P>
<P>Like I said above I think an acoustic mode would be cool, maybe an alternate setlist for acoustic mode?</P>
<P>Well....... I'm out of ideas, tell me what you think of them</P>
