they were around for a long time. their best album was in like the 80's. thats pretty much what im talking about.
Meallica was also one of the highest selling bands. Metal is rock too, you know.

Although they probably aren't classed as classic rock, more hard rock. I dunno. Or are they too late for the era? Seen as Appetite was actually released in 1987 (if memory serves).
