Does Playing a different guitar (in game) change the guitar sound any?

I'm just curious. Does playing a different guitar (in game) change the sound of the guitar track, or is it static and the guitar is just a skin? I'm betting since we're using masters it won't make a difference and that it's purely cosmetic. If that's the case I don't know as I want to buy a new guitar just because it looks different.

Nope Cosmetic...and it's because it's for looks...and you unlock skins....no different.

Just find one you like and stick to it. Or customize your own. Makes no difference and saves money.
