I've only been playing for a couple of days now on the ranked games (drums, medium, tug of war) and I've already run into my first chronic early quitter...

XxAVG JOExX

Even after I submitted a player review to avoid him, I still ended up playing him again, and of course he quits again. Both times he was losing, of course.

Hopefully, people realize this is supposed to be fun and not worry about their rep or whatever it is you get out of this. Either that, or in the case of XxAVG JOExX, practice more before attempting these ranked games.

the ****ing song was over... the crowd is cheering. no more notes to hit. he lost. He quits before the song is over. bull****. time for a break from the fun of playing online. it's a shame.

Yea, you might be taking it a bit seriously.

Why do they quit? Does it keep track of your rating or win/losses?

I agree that it's annoying, but some people have better things to do than wory about their Rank, Score or Credibility in a video game.

True, but it appears that some people have better things to do than approach a contest with a sense of fairness and good sportsmanship.

this is my point. I do not care about rank, or anything else that comes with playing ranked games. The reason I do it is because there seems to be more people playing ranked games. Too often I sit there waiting for a person to play against in the player games. I would rather play and have fun (and lose) than sit there waiting.

It isn't that I'm taking it too seriously, it is that the people that quit in the middle or late in the song are taking it too seriously.

good question... I have no idea, but why else would they quit?

Some people might be quitting to get the "win 5 in a row" achievement. It's lame.
