Nightwish anyone?

Been a fan of theirs for a longtime. True they just switched vocalists but both have terrific range. Some cool songs would be Planet hell, Dark Chest of wonders, Dead to the world, Wishmaster, Elevenpath.

Only ptoblem is... for singing mode... nightwish would be the epitome of difficult........

Still I want nightwish in the game... its singing is so extremely hard (impossible as a male) that nobody would ever beat it in singing mode lol... but I still want it

When tarja left I half wanted him to just take over and just use his vocal style. The other thing to consider is many of nightwishes songs rely on toumas on keyboards or the full orchestra in background. Many of their songs still fit but It would be a higher song in the set list.

Anette doesn't even ATTEMPT to sing opera style... you can hear clips of 4 new songs on their myspace... WTF she doesnt even TRY to sound like tarja

I almost would rather bass boy have taken over too...

As a singer in general the new girl is a good singer but she isn't singing NIGHTWISH STYLE you know?

It really sucks... I don't listen to nightwish for the instrumentals really... I listen to them cause tarja pwns all... but NOOOOOO :((

side note Ghost love score is one of my favorite songs of all time and has an amazing 5 minute conclusion unfortunatly there's a lot of extended orcheatral runs without any of the band playing which make it very in compatable with rock band.

well the new songs are officially annette's style not tarja. We haven't even heard her sing any of the older songs. I mean toumas writes all the lyrics anyways and produces every album so there's very little annette can screw up.

I wish it were possible. Sadly theres just too much going on to work in a simplistic bass, guitar, drums, vocals scenario.

I'd like to hear Dark Chest, Elvenpath, and most of all Beauty And The Beast. It has such a good guitar section at the beginning of the song. As for singing Tarja, if this is anything like Kareoke revolution, you just have to match the tone of the vocals, not the pitch. So instead of singing in a really high pitch, you can sing in an octave lower if you choose. So even a guy like me (who has a deep voice) can sing a nightwish song if I keep my tone steady.

WRONG! Nightwish is Tuomas Holopainen, not Tarja. Also, Marco is a great singer, and the songs he sang on were better because of him, more than because of Tarja imo.

She doesn't try to sing like Tarja because of a few reasons:

1. She is NOT Tarja
2. The band didn't want another singer like Tarja
3. She doesn't (more than likely) have the vocal ability

As for "Nightwish style", the band still sounds like Nightwish. Imo, Anette sounds better than Tarja, Tarja was getting old.

Also, there are MUCH better operatic female singers than Tarja, such as Floor Jansen.

Might I add my three cents and say I find Annette and Tarja (great name) to be equally awesome but not equally matched. They're two very different people and I think Nightwish has the flexibility and adaptivity to suit them both.

Two great vocalist in two very different leagues.

I love nearly all of their songs, and their songs would be great for Rock Band. Interesting lyrics with tricky vocals, fairly strong guitar with nice sounding solos, and at least mildly fun drums.

the band's songs would rock this game.

Yes, i think if Nightwish was in the game it'd be better something off of Once or Dark Passion Play. The early stuff would be impossible for the vocals. I doubt the game is made for them.

And by the way, Tarja was great, but sorry, she was a *****. Bye bye beautiful indeed. Annette is not bad. I personally believe her style fits more the band's current sound. It was a waste of Tarja's talents when they opted to slow down the tempo.
