I'm kinda curious as to if the rbn is only going to have b and c grade bands(no disrespect to any of the bands).

I mean, is there going to be any big label bands that are going to be using it or are they going to stay the same as thru rock band announcements?

Just curious on the matter, because of the bands on the already announced list for rbn, I really don't know who they are.

Will we see any bands of the likes of Rush, Motley Crue, GNR, etc. You know, big, big bands?

If anyone has any info, or thoughts, please let me know what you think.

And thanks for reading, sorry if already been asked, I don't get to check in here as often as I wish these days.

Considering the original press released namechecked the (albeit slim) possibilty of Judas Priest releasing their entire back catalogue on RBN, as well as Sub Pop having a considerable amount of well known bands on their roster such as Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Smashing Pumpkins, I would hazard a guess and say in response to your main question... no?

Ok, just was wondering, I guess I'll have to wait and see. Just thought maybe someone out there might know a little more than I about it.

Check out the "contact bands about RBN" thread. There are plenty of popular artists that are very interested in RBN.

Probably it will depend which makes them more money. If they think they're popular enough and waiting for HMX to chart them is overall more profitable, then I guess they'll wait.

RBN is open to anybody who wants to get involved. Anyone.

It's not as if we're handing out RBN membership cards to bands saying "Oh wait, are you in a popular band? Back of the line, we only want indie artists." Any band can get their songs into RBN.
