I have produced a wooden pedal replacement for the Rock Band bass drum.
If you are interested in purchasing, please visit my website at:

This is a replacement for the Rock Band bass drum pedal.
Our original pedal broke, we got a replacement, but it wasn't any better than the original. Thus, I have designed this replacement -- which should last a long, long time!
I'm not out to make a bunch of money, I just don't want the rest of you to be as frustrated as I was.
If you want to read the original thread that led to this,

This is an EXCELLENT stand-alone solution or could also provide a good base for "Rasehead"'s pedal mod:

i'm definitely interested, but a couple questions first
is it a solid piece of wood that you replace the plastic pedal with altogether, or is it a wood COVER for the pedal that you glue on? i assume if its to replace the whole pedal, you have to remove the plastic pedal and then install this one in?
is there any more details you can give as far as assembly goes?

Yes. It is a solid piece of wood that replaces the plastic pedal. Installation is incredibly easy. You will push out the pivot pin (at the rear of the pedal), which allows the pedal to be removed from the base. Then, remove the 4 screws on the bottom of the pedal (holding on the orange retainer). You will then remove the magnet (it pretty much just falls out) with a tap. The rubber bumpers are glued on and have to be pried off (but it's easy to do). Then, reverse order...rubber bumpers put into new (wood) pedal, magnet pushed into hole in new pedal, orange piece placed on top of bumpers, then 4 screws screwed in to place. Put spring back in and press into place.

very cool mate. I did the same thing myself last week and it worked great for a week before I modded a real kick pedal to use with the game.
